Is the show worth goings to
I was planing on going Sunday but as the weather is a bit up and down I'm not sure if its worth it

Might do some Essex lanes and violets lane instead, cheaper ! As its gonna be about £50 to get in, couple of goes on off road £30 ,before I buy anything!! ( tight Scotsman mode) :-/

Second hand parts Peterborough cannot be beaten lots of junk tho!!

I picked up some,

led sealed indicators,
Bonnet hinge bits,
Gear knob,
Fuse box cover pins,
Rear work lamps posh ones,
Corner trim for seat box,
Sound deadening material,
Not a lot but a good day out!!

Come home fitted the led indicators and found my dodgy earth I had causing my sidelights to flash. So tomorrow ill fit new earth terminals and give the wiring a once over and solder the earths up. After seeing my posh worklampsnthinkingbthey may be good as roof rack lights but will check the beam pattern make sure they're going to work.

Jut got to sort the rear fog as the dash bulb is illuminated when head lights are on so need to investigate once the earths are all sorted.

Did you buy a chassis???

Been working on the 90 all day. fitted my led indicators yesterday and found loads of earth faults so rectified those this morning and still has a couple of weird faults like when sidelights are on reverse turns ignition on........................ spent a few hours with a test lamp and my rear harness needs some rework exhaust gas 1 wiring nil!

Looks to be salvagable will sleeve it one evening this week. ordered a new fog and reversing lamp. LED bulbs or normal bulbs This is the question....

LED lights shows faults easy and are a pain on a LR

Well that's one way to look at it. The other is far less current draw, cost is more but will be cheaper very soon, ability to use cheaper more easily hidden wiring. if the wiring is good to begin with no problems, shows faults more easily meaning you fix one fault at a time not leave it as it works and then have to deal with multiple problems as I had.

LEDs are the way forward but using conventional bulb holders is silly. My torch for my airgun has a up to 140m beam bright as daylight through the scope and it was only a cheapy the batteries last ages as it draws bigger all current.

Wait until you get the new land rovers to diagnose with multiplexing 3 wires to each light cluster. Earth pos and signal different square waves turn on different lights within the light clusters as most cars are now days.

Well if you have perfect wires on a 1986 then you must be the only one lol

When the rear loom is sleeved or I might replace it yet not sure yet the rest is all good!! The earths have been cleaned and checked good for another few years yet The fuse holder the old glass type has been cleaned and is working if anything lets the wiring down its the rusty tags on the light clusters although they have separate earths anyhow but might chance them as and when.

Had a food chat with the MIB boys about supplying and fitting a cage for mine, I'll go with them, but I need a chassis too, makes sense to do both at the same time. Better start saving up.
