About 6 years ago I was given a RRC I put a couple of tyres on it and used it for 7 months then sold it for £400
The car dealer I worked in at the time took it in as part ex one of the mechanics bought it form them for the trade in price "£100" used it for a week and diceded it was crap on fuel and gave it to me
It was a good car looking back I should of kept it
Before I bought the discovery I looked at getting another one but they are ether a project or top price minter
This time year all the 4x4 go up in price it's like motorbikes in the summer

No it needs to be 24 spline with that stupid donought. Might need some front shafts too I should know later looking at the disco today as I am hoping to get to Whaddon on the 23rd ;-)

I need a 24 front and rear diff due to close inspection. Nothing wrong with half shafts or drive members :) although a diff is dearer :-(

So who has them? Money waiting

Must say I have lot of fun today we ended up laying out half the CCV sections. 90 in its wreck of a state smelling of a boot full of EP90 did well after sorting my instruments out as a fuse went (Looks like it might have been an original) changed said fuse. The landy didn't miss a beat. Cruised home at 60mph and drove around the site tick over 3rd gear lovley.

Even did the cross axled bit tick over 1st low could have walked faster was nice to have a play again. Well worth taxing it yesterday!!

Things to Sort:
exhaust exit needs to be better!
Heater needs ducting (drawing in engine bay air)
spring to relocate and jubilee clip,
A good Xmas service~!!

Plus to top it off there was a wee 80 inch running EXCATLY and i mean exactly the setup of my little 80 salisbury rear axle, std size rear springs 80 inch V8 and he came away with the win first overall ****ed much more expensive and tricked up motors.

So A very happy Jai today

Ow I must say Stew sorry I never got to say much to you and you partner I was running around like a mad man following motors about marshalling on that particular section.

Hope you enjoyed yourself tho.

Good day had by us and the Anglian LRC TYRO and CCVing I think CVLRC running RTV had a good one aswell but I never got time to shoot over and have a look see.

Jai

Had a good day today
I leant more by being there and watching it than the stuff I've been reading
Andrew from the club gave me the hand book with all the regs in it and I'm working my way through that at the moment some of its a bit are hard to take in but I'm sure il get the idea soon

I could see you had your hand full with marshalling and didn't want to get in the way so thought it best to let you get on with it

We left about 2 just before the hypothermia set in

So as soon as I've read through the hand book and made sure my discovery will comply with the class regs Il try to join the club again and start ASAP

No problems Stew,

The regs are a mainly there to make homebuilds and hybrids comply.

If your disco is standard the battery is secure the fuel tank is as it should be and have seat belts fitted then you have it sussed I would suggest buying a msa spill kit about £8 from ebay and a Foam fire extinguisher min 2Kgs to be mounted securly within reach of the driver while belted. When I say this, a bungee or 2 that is secure and holds the extinguisher securly is fine it does not need to be perm fixture because a big extinguisher can get in the way alot when not competing.

If you need any help reg regs just shout the wording can sometimes make it more difficult than it is. Next event is over Olney way, well Weston Underwood so not a million miles away I *think* they said Jan 20th. Today twas mighty cold!!!

Just fitted a down pipe to my little 80 actually fits mighty well. I need to get the other side done and make it into a nice Y and then single silencer and an exit.

Thats why i said I know a man that has them but I doubt you'll want to pay that.

If theyre good cond 24 spline £100 ish.
I sell for £75 when I have them,
10 spline for £50,

Depends if you dont mind fitting a rusty piece of junk in an an old ****ter then £30 ebay jobby will do. Nobody in their right mind would fit an old ****ter in a road motor tho.

Plenty of rusty scrap on ebay:
landrover diff | eBay

Who in their right mind would pay for that??

sible if you have the old diffs and you intend on weighing them in i'll beat scrap money. Give you £5 for the pair cos I could do with a case if theyre knackared.
