How did today go after the false start??

It went very well, covered some good lanes, although some were very scratchy (I've got so many go faster stripes now it looks like a Corsa). A bit of mud here and there and one or two deep ruts. I understand you passed up the on the chance of joining us.:D

Yup unfortunately had to shoot home and help the other half with wedding plans boring!

Jumped in the 90 to come and join you but I pulled the dials out and have taken 2 wheel spats off so thought better of it.

Will join next time tho

After a false start rebuilding the rear prop, had a good day. Best thing was I decided to try something I've never managed before and that is drive out of a rut, tyres are beyond awesome. I'll post up some Piccies later.

Cool! Piccies required. On a different subject, the Rangie lives:eek: All back together just finding the stupid things that I need to sort ready for MOT, found a wobbly wheel bearing but will need to swap out the steering box and before I do anything laning wise think I need to do the transfer box bearings, front shaft is a bit loose on the output bearing but hey ho! catch yers later.

Now he tells us :D On his 42" wheels and more tread on the sidewallls than most people have on all four tyres. No wonder the sides of the rut were up to my windows and my poor little 16" 235x80 bottomed out. I'm taking my Unimog next time;););););)

Thanks for an enjoyable day and all your hard work.

750 16's LOL!! You were getting stuck everywhere with them!

They're now the biggest available in the country to fit,16 inch rims in that pattern!!

Diverting a little as you know a lot about defenders. I've got steering problems. Stiff and notchy and hard work to drive. Worst on left hand turns. Any ideas. Can't find play anywhere and sprayed steering ujs with wd40.

are you sure you haven't got Diff Lock engaged?

Tyres by the way are Fedima 35.0 x 10.5 x 16 36.5" tall, but not too wide, fitted on genuine Wolf rims. Can't think of a tyre that I'd rather have.
