Big thanks to Jai for electrical help today.:D
I need another day on it to get it ready for paint.
Looking forward to ragging it, showing the Defenders & Discos how to do it.

Big ass grippy tyres and bling lights what has the world come to

Soyderman do you still have your salisbury axle I think Bump may possibly be interested in buying it.

Double checked the tyre size and they are beasties same overall height as the XL's but as per fedima's they have a simex/insa pattern but much wider spacing than even the simex so should be bloody great offroad!!

cant wait to see them working in the mud

Just thinking just how much I've spent on a Series that cost me £560 off of Fleabay. Time for another brandy.

Hahaha, that has a tendency to happen. Wot you been up to now then? got any piccies?

Been busy meself, Rangie is taking shape, almost got all the bodywork back on, fired the engine up it was not very happy to start with, I thought I had fried the ECU as it was showing a fault but a substitute ECU was happy, looked in to it a bit more, turned out throttle pot was out of adjustment at closed position making the engine stall when coming back to idle. Got it adjusted and all is well on both ECU's so happy days. Just checked timing, AFM readings and base idle, all looks good and engine runs smoooooth.

Had fun with the back door, it was a second hand replacement, after I did some rot repairs to it I couldn't get it to fit:mad: So shimmed it to death and all looks good, I would never have thought two apparently identical doors could be so different, hay ho.

If I'm lucky should have it all back together again by the end of the month and ready for the dreaded MOT. Might even get on to some lanes before the end of the year:eek:

Hi Kev,
I've been having a bit of a spend up, new lights, new bumper, new wheels, new tyres, new alternator, new paint, new galvanised capping, new Ashcroft shafts, much angle grinding to bodywork.

Hi Kev,
I've been having a bit of a spend up, new lights, new bumper, new wheels, new tyres, new alternator, new paint, new galvanised capping, new Ashcroft shafts, much angle grinding to bodywork.

So almost a new motor then! A bit like mine, new sills, new rear cross member, new outer rear wheel arches, 1 new front body mount/headlamp box, repaired front inner arches, repaired front footwells. New (secondhand) stainless exhaust with 4 branch headers. Replaced both rear wings and corner panels, replaced front bumper, replaced one rear door oh and I repaired the boot floor panel. Thought I would never get it all back together!

Er not really...........

Lol all parts are new replacement lol no chassis mods only mod is engine 1 point so it'll be a new motor but no where near a q plate me thinks

It's nowhere near being classed as a hybrid, like Jai says the only change that counts on the points front is the change of engine and that's a Land Rover item.
