Last night was mad! Had to put the snow chains on our 6.5t Van to get everyone out the carpark. Some good size drifts on the road to the office. Then spent a few good hours dragging people off verges and up hills on the way home. Mainly BMW's :D

i am amazed that bmw drivers even bother to think about going out in snow
and i drive one as well - as soon as snows you know you won't be in your beamer until the snow has gone

Go and get a set of decent winter tyres!! My Benz has no trouble in snow - I only wish we had some, North Wales is snowless and actually quite mild.

Anyway, sounds like total chaos down there. Have fun folks.

It was utter chaos! Even the Snow plows were having to overtake the slower traffic to keep going at a reasonable pace.

Feeling a bit like a big kid, just taken the Subaru to Homebase car park, put it in sport mode and turned the traction control off....Yee Haa!!!:D

I am almost completely fed up of snow now! My back is killing me and I lost count of the number of times i had to dig my own van out and other peoples cars out!

Someone decided to order their shopping online when they lived 2 miles down unploughed, ungritted track. I would've taken the landy if knew I was going there!!

Brett that does sound incredible fun... :D :D

You are just a child getting older!! Not that I'm jealous you understand but there's no snow here and it's not fair.

Any of you local guys know of any good car transporters in the area? Just been out to my 110 and the clutch master cylinder has gone. Fluid in the drivers foot well. Tried topping it up but its dead. Need to get it transported to the place doing my transfer box in Thetford. Got one quote so far from Ware to Thetford.

Master cylinder should not be too bad to do.

I had to drive my works car back from Watford when the clutch went tits. Not too bad
If you can match the revs and anticipate the traffic.

Yeah I could drive it I guess. I've driven them in the army like that a short distance but this is my own one and I don't want to kill the gearbox. It's ok. I've just booked a guy to pick it up and deliver it for me. Wasn't too bad.

Does anyone have an old skateboard? Want to make up a set of wheels to help move the chassis from two skateboards. I have one but need another. Of course there is the chance that the wheels won't be strong enough for the weight but one can only try!

Nothing like that here I got a sac barrow but not strong enough for a chassis. Is there no way you could strap an axle to it just to move it?

Ah second thoughts I have a kinda trolley sort of gearbox lift it may be useful your welcome to pinch it. Not ideal but might be handy for you

Jai
