Jack,

This is my first time out with my new camera, shot in jpeg not RAW, as I don't know what I'm doing with that yet. it's just set to idiot. I take a lot of this type of image, what would give better results?

It looks like you have the uploading set to idiot too :D

Ok.... Why don't you tell me which hello kitty cameras and lenses you used? :p

What Leica lens fits on a hello kitty???

Well I never took them, I just trolled the web for samples so I could wind you up :D

Football with pre production Lumix GX-1, the one I have my eye on..

Next two with Lumix GF-1 - Three year old predecessor to GX-1

Last two with Lumix GF-3 - uses same sensor as GX-1, but GX-1 is newer and has better processing.

Any Leica M mount lens will go on any Panasonic Lumix G with an adapter..

Also they do this lens in a Micro 4/3, which is what the boat was taken with..

I was right now I am bored.....

Football = Pre production version of my Hello Kitty with kit zoom lens

A nicely composed picture but I don't think it was taken with a 5d.. at least not near its highest quality settings. You can see how sharp and clear the dog is but it's not the same with the football.

Lego & Clock = Three year old Hello Kitty with weird German video lens

I would say they were both taken with your compact. Not completely sharp and they look a bit compressed... But you could have just not focused accurately and resized it.. :p:p

Boat and Sign = Previous version of my Hello Kitty with Leica lens

I would say a high end compact or 4/3rds camera. A 5D should do a lot better. Without seeing the boat myself the colours do look very real and accurate. If you used a 5D and 50mm 1.2 I think you would get a sharper image with a lot less compression. Unless you have resized it I would be very surprised if that was taken with a 5D.

If they are both taken with the same camera I would guess 4/3rds as the second image I would expect to see more colour abberation from a compact. It is still not close to the quality of your 50mm prime.

All have been resize with whatever program it is that I use to view my pics, for a true representation of the Hello Kitty quality you will just have to wait for mine to arrive :D

Of course they have been resized but 5D RAW images should not be as compressed as those.

Because Mr "I Can't Upload Pictures For Two Weeks" has helped convince me that Hello Kitty is the way to go :p:p

Always looking for someone else to blame for his bad decisions :rolleyes:

^ As above :D

Yes you were pretty spot on, obviously the £1200 lens on the £1600 camera that weighs 5 kilograms, is going to have to have better image quality than the £700 camera that weighs 800grams, I did already know this :D

Point is, you can still get very pleasing results with the hello kitty cam, and have a few thousand pounds for hookers :D

According to wikipedia, a 5D mark 2 weighs 810g body only :D:blabla:

Anyone know why this wont appear ?:confused:
