Hello fella. Just out of interest I rang my mate back home and he said unless there is a blockage preventing oil getting to the pump then he is 100% on it being the relief valve sticking. He said to get it out and check its operation. If it sticks at all then replace it. Hope this helps:D

Sorry mate it doesn't. IN fact out of all the guys who come out with us, I don't think any of them are called Dave.

I'm not able to do the Sunday as well, and a bit short on cash to get up to Hartfordshire this weekend, but if your up for doing some Surrey lanes in the everning i can do that.

Ryder, No problem with the maps, Saturday morning would be best to pick them up. I'm out tomorrow night and go to Manchester lunchtime Saturday.

I've seen a Series III 109 knocking around, don't see many of them. Would be good to get another Series owner on board.
 
Good progress tonight. Test fitted engine short block. Had to remove Battery Tray, O/S Engine Mount will be cut off and we've managed to work out an Engine Mount using the 2.5 one and the 2.25 one combined, the 2.25 one fitted upside down and welded to the chassis. Looks like it will work a treat.:D

Brilliant... its all coming together, albeit slowly! We're all rooting for ya Spydie but you do realise that's the end of your days leading the crew... no one will want to follow you down the lanes... from now on you gonna be bringing up the rear!
 
Had a chat with Kris tonight... looking at Surrey for next weekend. The lanes are said to lovely and a little bit interesting so if anyone else is up for a day out with Kris as a guide...

Oh well... "Saturday" and "Morning".... two words that really do not belong in the same sentence. I'll make th effort and be there to collect then though! Many thanks for that!:eek:
 
Hey just got my tyres from glenn Jeez they looklikethey are gonna kick some seriously muddy ass!
Can't wait for the weekend to show just how seriously stuck a disco can get even with big f**** off tyres too play with!

Hi DB,

Sounds like your mate thinks the same as I do. I replaced the pressure relief valve and spring, I checked the internal screen as well(nice and clean) and still no oil pressure. Will be dropping the sump to look at pick up pipe and strainer. If that doesn't give any clues I'm gonna be pretty stuck.

I hear things are going well with new job and Spydermans ride. Assuming I get some oil flowing round my engine, I'll see you guys soon.

Sounds like you're making good progress, the weather doesn't help I'll bet. Will look forward to seeing the beast when it's finally running again.
