Both sent.

Cheers mate. I would say definately doable with a couple of highlifts and two standard LR bottle jacks. Will require some care but not as bad as I had imagined. Mind you, it does look pretty muddy and slippery which will make it harder. A tow out style recovery is unlikely to work.

Just spoke to Ryder, they're back on the lane, trying to reverse the Disco back out, but it's sliding sideways, they're using my waffle boards to stop that happening, so it's going to be slow, as they have to keep re-placing the boards as he reverses. He recons another 30-60 minutes should see him reversed back onto solid ground.

Got him out initially by jacking and a bit of winching.

Looks like some one has been having some fun ,,,

This is no good I am missing all of it this work thing is a pain!!!!

Update: Things were going fine, recovery was going well but slowly, situation now is that the Disco is 17' further back down the lane, but it's slipped over the edge again and is just being held from falling all the way by 2 strops.

I can't get there tonight as I'm working, but I think Jai & Kev are going to head over. Obviously not helped now by the fact that it's dark and raining.

Looks like we might have a new contender for this year's Ryder Cup.

I can go when I finish work, would rather not 'tis nasty wet and 'orrible out there. If Jai is going I'm happy to assist, I'll also need the location as I have no idea exactly where they are. Can somebody give some location or a map number and grid ref (assuming I have the right map!!)

Jai, if you're going to go and you want a hand get in touch.

i could winch jai down the lane and he could winch the disco from there....two winch lengths enough?

I'm not convinced that is the problem that needs resolving, the other problem is getting the Disco upright and straight so it can actually be moved out of harms way (so to speak).

Spydie, heard any more?

i probably got day off tomoz.my work site is bogged so could do daylight tomoz.i got a few bits of kit for pullin trees thats usefull for standing stuff upright..
