As it happens I have a Q plate for a Discovery (still taxed) but its not somthing I would do put it on another vehicle "cough cough" not somthing I would tell anyone anyhow.
Chassis well its not rusty its an old RR chassis cut down and fich plated in a very professional way. it does need some grinding off excess metal where the rear body x members were for the RR. I has been fitted with a rear x member made from metal box section and is bloody strong. I believe this to have been built by somone with a view to comp safari racing it as its been done to that spec. Out riggers are again box section very well made IMO. The Engine is a 3.5L EFI which is probably better than the later ones simply because it doesn't suffer from liner or pourous block problems and with some fettling could be made much more powerful. I have receipts for parts used in a recent engine rebuild but not for the rebuild itself. Best thing is to come and ave a look see. I need the front axle although it can be left on for loading but I would need it back. I also have a Defender bulkhead and some old series wings that was to go on it for my build although I am in the process of selling them off now but shout we may be able to come to some deal for everything mabe.
