sorry kris, i had to :banplease: ;)

was an exelent site tho, and would recomend it to anyone that likes the more technical site, also has a large open field with a few mounds to play on, then you go down into the woods, and thats where the fun begins..
plus its only a tenner.

Sounds like a good site and only a tenner sounds great!

Ok so i take out my diff and it starts to **** it down - coincidence? I dont think so!

Drained my rear diff its full of ****e mud water etc not so good will need to flush it out before re assembly

Hows everyone else motas going?

Jai

Jai,
Mine's running well. I think I need to adjust the front brakes a bit after I fitted new shoes. Now they've bedded in a bit, it's pulling to the right. Next weekend, I'll sort it out and check things over, so all will be good for the 24th.:D

Got a rumbing clutch release bearing, a leaky rear engine seal, some water in the diffs, other wise im fine (touch wood)
wish i was coming on the 24th :-( got prior engagements!
Clarke of Course on the international drive force event for the police and armed forces in April, so need to be ready for that :)
Dan

ill be going on the 24th but will be stayin out the fords just changed my diff oils cant afford more oil till next service in may Jai

Raising all the breathers is one think, keeping the drink out of the diffs is a whole new ball game on our old defenders, it always finds its way in some how :) all mine are raised and its still full of the drink ;)

My breathers are raised,

Doesnt stop anything. When doing Standon regularly mabe 5 times and Fernaux pelham about 3 times when your axles and gearboxes are fully under water for mabe 30 secondswater will get in.
The only good thing about raising your breathers is they dont get blocked with ****e and blow your oil seals every trip out.

Landys need lots of prep and work after when deep wading.

The Diffs get hot and pressurized, when they hit the cold water, pressure drops instantly, sucking in water past the seals. You can't stop it.

thats very logical,

bret you would of had great fun at brick kiln farm- some serious gloopy mud to wallow in and test them 900s

'tis true! It needs us en mass!

Just gotta get the last few bits for the shogun... fit them MOT it-Tax it then I can start on the Landy... Rear engine oil seal, reaplcement transfer box... MOT- Tax

So at least a week or two then!

We'll get there I am sure

Cheers all

Failing that I'm building a bloody landy port so I can work under it. I have scavinged loads of 2 x 1.5 inch timber about 20 lengths so i may well do that if this poxy weather keeps up. Jai

Spent an hour today playing with my diff and wheels seems weird when you manage to unlock one side and spins freely or free wheels round and round (like wheels on the bus) Jai

Bloody brilliant.... just got told we have to find another house to live in. This one is going on the market. Race against time to get all the vehicles sorted out then!
