It would be good to see you and jai back out again
We need more laning trips
there's only a handful of us at the moment

Tell me about it!! I plan on playing with mine all day tomorrow as Rach is working nights Sunday so can have a late one working on the landy! I have a functioning rear propshaft for the 80 inch now so that potentially has 4wd which is nice as its currently stuck on a heap of mud in the garden! Once its been cut down to length!! Never has changing a Propshaft UJ been just a ball ache! but hey ho its done now took an hour to remove uj's before I could even think about changing it for a new one! Broken rusty circlips Suck baby!

As for laning deffo up for some doing the local lanes in the snow was great. I'm on a selling mission aswell Lots of bits quite cheap to clear some space.

A pair of bucket seats, Been sat in the offroader not bolted in just sat there cloth and need a clean hence price but not ripped from what I can see.

A ramsey winch serious pulling power mounted in a large frame ex recovery truck 12v comes with stainless wire rope.

Lots of gearbox bits n bobs, and plenty of axle spares.

Jai

Is anybody looking for a project?

I know where there is a E reg RRC Vogue V8, a SIII and I think a SIIa but might be a SIII in a wood that needs to be cleared. There is other bits as well. Sorry if ita a bit vague but been about a year since I saw them. PM me if you are interested. The lot has to go before the scrap men take it all....

I may do, don't really want 2 f##k it up 2 much quite yet.

I've only done the one myself and it was not the best place to start (devils pit)
but it was close and from the web site it looked ok

As I was going round I thought my discovery was going to look like a crush tin can by the end of the day but the only damage was some mud in the headlight and a small crack in the plastic front bumper
But it was a good day and I couldn't believe what a std discovery could do

There are better play sites that give a better mix of terrain so you can do the less damaging routes

Round hills wood has a good choice of hard and easy routes

But I'd go along with jai and say get into some trails "Tyro" would be best suited for your car as its std
I've been along to watch a couple and they do look a bit easy but there's more to them than it looks so could be fun

With that said I've been trying to join the club and still no luck as yet
I'm going to do it with my wife

Sounds interesting
But I'm running out of driveway space so can't think of getting another car
But I would like a S3

Tyro is ok to start with very tame, RTV is where the fun is for std ish motors once you have th basics of Tyro under your belt RTV is fun. CCV is a jump again and I hope to be there soon. Done my stint of RTV and a bit of modified/ccv now its time to play with the ccv boys properly with a mix of Team recovery aswell!

People forget that competing is fun but the Most fun is laying out on the Saturday all day driving and laying out sections then marshalling on the Sunday. You have to be in with the club, up on the regs and trusted not to hurt yourself. Its quite good with the clubs because you are encouraged to help lay sections out (with help) and it gets you lots fo driving and trying new things with experienced people around to help and offer encouragement.

If its the old guy with a blue 110 v8 county (held together with string and tape) usually filled to the roof with junk I don't want anything to do with them motors................................he's asked before

Anyone used a double carden britpart rear prop. thinking about repairing mine or getting one of these. How much play should be in slide.
