Hope the Fuse 15 problem is related to the old Door lock..

Looks like you got more wiring looms in your doors than I have in the whole of my D1 :)

It is by far the cleanest P38 I've ever seen

Fook me..

I'm suddenly feeling better about my P38 ;)

How did it do that?

The uncle of the girl I bought it from thought it was a good idea to tack weld a new bit of metal for the inner wheel arch repair to the bulkhead and set fire to the sound deadening insulation under the dash and burnt out the wiring loom, took me ages of cutting and chasing wires to figure out what had been damaged and needed to be replaced, 3 relays and lots of earths along with the whole section and connection for the rear left hand loom, it was in a really bad way :(

But I was undaunted by the challenge and a couple of weeks with a soldering iron and a few sections of scrap loom out of a 300Tdi Disco I had it all fixed and up an running :)

I dressed the alloy with a brass wire wheel and painstakingly masked off all the bits i didn't want silver and painted it with simoniz High temp silver paint! ;)

Worked quite well, it has to get hot to set ;) so run the engine!

Great stuff and improves the look no end ;)

Definitely cheating! :D

My doozle inlet manifold I did last week I took down to clean metal and sealed it with high temperature lacquer. Poked a heat gun inside as it was off vehicle while spraying. makes huge difference with added heat.

Day off work..

A paint brush and some waxoyl black is a good way to waste a day :D

Befores.
