Lent on the corner of my rear bumper and heard a nice snapping sound!!

The rear bumper has sagged!!

Just found the rear mount that comes off of the chassis had snapped in half!!

Need to get myself a welder sometime in the future lol

Sad times mate. There are some pics in my thread about those very brackets. The L shape bit is held on by 1 13mm bolt but my out rigger bits were still in decent enough shape so I can see you’ve got a bit more trouble on your hands than I had

Aye chap.

I've read your thread, it's brilliant btw.

The out rigger that the brackets attach to has just crumbled.

She was a sea side car so some tin worm is not too unexpected :p

The old girl will be getting a full strip down and rebuild in the coming years.

Maybe even a full respray in MC blue ;)

But best laid plans and all that. ;)

Thanks mate. Mine is starting to come together now which is nice considering what a dog it was. Hopefully yours will be too. Do love the MC blue as well. Time to get that welder :D

It's time to wield the 'ammers and welder! ;)

Quite a mundane update..

I've been trawling ebay looking for some genuine Landrover Mats to go in the rear..

Originally she had a normal Mats however they have long since disappeared..

Looking through ebay £15 later and i have these genuine LR RR Rubber mats..

This is the car before...

It has had no less than 4 Cruise control ECU's!!

Always good to find parts. Looked at the rubber matts but wanted the normal ones for mine

She originally had Lightstone mats however they have long since been MIA..

2nd hand they were £45!

So naturally i bought the cheaper rubber ones ;)

IMO they still look Ok'ish.. :p:D

Just done some simple pre-restoration cleaning/painting..

The intake manifold has always been a bug bare of mine..

I've tried to tidy it up in the past..

Before.

In this quick blow over i had forgotten most of the intake manifold and the throttle body lol

Hopefully i'll rip this engine apart to do a complete recon of all parts..

Unfortunately this is as good as it gets while it's all together!

That's cheap. Think I would put black in mine as I've never seen tan ones

I should really stop rooting through my sheds..

For some reason i'm finding random **** and sticking it to my range rover!! :D

This car has an LPG system fitted, as such the spare wheel was no where to be found..

Luckily the previous owner had kept it.

So 30mins later i had this back home..

A nice 5th Comet with a 16yr old Cumho tyre :D

I have often been described as being "being odd in a nice way" ;)

With that in mind i love the small details ;):D

The chrome kick plates have faded and the plastic surrounding them has deteriorated..

The car is still immobilised, she'll be sent to a LR specialist hopefully in a few months.

While i've been hunting around most of the interior plastics have been removed..

So while they were out i decided to clean 'em up.

Befores.
