Clean all earths

Look at wiring diagram and suspect fuesbox or bcem

Manuals

+1 to duff battery or Alternator....also carefully check Fuse No1 as this is what powers the dash....but if your headlights are dim....you have an alternator/battery issue

headlights work fine its just the dash and rev counter fuel gauge had this before just changed fuse under drivers seat but that is ok this time altinator is new 14.4volts battery new cheers:mad:

Check the link I gave for the manuals and check the wiring to the Dash binnacle

think ive found the problem fuse 1 should be a 10amp fuse ive found a 30am fuse in there so if im right what ever caused the fuse to blow first time has done it again but not blew the 30amp so would you say its done damage to bcm? or is there a relay gone down?

With luck no damage to BeCM...but if the Dash is dim/not functioning and it blows a 10A fuse (hence the 30A) then you have a serious short and needs to be checked ASAP before a nasty end happens...

Try a 10A if that blows....you need to start taking the services that Fuse 1 Feeds apart to find any issues....

Do you have any aftermarket mods like different stereo or in car Bluetooth or such like that could have been badly bodged to fit hence the increased drain and possible short???

Remove the bodged Fog Lights Wiring and see if you have the same issue....

'Mates' should be let loose on P38 wiring unless they REALLY know what they are doing!

Remove instrument binnacle (See RAVE) pull plug at right hand side. With ignition on check you have power to pins 4 and 14 from fuse one.
