i have just brought a 110 county 1988 2.5 j19 diesel and having problems with getting it running, it starts and runs for a second then cuts out i have tested the fuel solinoid and there is power at 1 click but when i move to turn her over i loose power ? help please :frown:

What have you done to it since it was last running i.e. change filters???

Just had a little play with her tonight and I have managed to start her up by running a live feed from the battery to the fuel cut off at position 2 on the ignition I get no lights unless I put a little pressure towards the sprung 3rd position but when I power the starter motor I loose power to the cut off switch is this a problem with the ignition switch at the back of the barrel if so could I just buy that part or do I have to buy the whole steering lock and barrel and switch ? ? ? :-S
