Hi all I have a 2001 freelander td4 diesel turbo.
in side of engine bay I have a fuel filter next to what I assume is the fuel pump.. the housing for the second one (fuel pump) is ****ing out diesel
every time I search for fuel pump for my model I keep getting in tank ones :( it seems my fuel pump is leaking from small central hole in the bottom.. any advice would be greatly appreciated
PLEASE NOTE the car is running and driving but leave big diesel trail

hi and welcome melbourne.
sorry I cant help you, but pop over to the freelander section and ask there eh,
or pm the mods to get your post moved ..

all I know about freelanders is they got 4 wheels.... ;)

If you mean fuel is ****ing out of where the arrow is pointing to, then I'd suggest, bearing in mind I know next to feckorl about Freelanders, that that looks to me like a pipe has fallen off there.

hello my friend no the other hole in lift pump housing the car still goes just ****es diesel

Sorry mate, as said I know nowt about Freelanders .. hope you find and fix the problem.

OK TEAM I have discovered the larger of the 2 where the leak is is the fuel filter now I need my UK buddies to tell me why the dam thing wld be pouring out fuel but car still running. OH AND HOW TO GET THE SOMEBITCH OUTA THE HOUSING WOULD ALSO HELP :)

with the help of a thread on here I removed the fuel filter from its housing but I think it be a sumbitch to get the head off the filter and despite their being no apparent holes that is def where diesel was gushing out from ... the fuel filter housing

that should have another pipe onto it and next to it is the lift pump when I had my old one I had to cut them out of the housing the trouble is it is plastic and it is in a engine bay where it gets hot even here in the uk ,so if it is really stuck the only thing to do it cut the housing and buy another housing sorry.

just to add I cut into the length off it with a hacksaw and watched carefully not to go right through and when almost through I just prized it with a screw drive thus I was able to use it until I got a new one hope this helps
