Whats a pm ? My post code is no use because its easy to find a supplier in Birkenhead but I travel from CH64 the other way all the way along the A55 as far as LL65 most days so filling up in Wales is very much easier for me other possible would be LL34, LL22 or LL13. Hope this helps but i think I'll have to drive into Birkenhead twice a week , its a pain but hey if it saves me money and the guy sounded really helpful on the phone.

I run my van on biodiesel from Bio UK Fuels in Sheffield. They are slightly more expensive at 91p per litre (still 4p cheaper than regular diesel though.) They have a complete biodiesel production line. Their website is Bio UK Fuels Ltd

Boxer,

Sorry had a look on my list and can't find anything at the moment in those postcodes, so I'm afraid it's still the trips to Birkenhead at the moment. If I hear of anything though I will let you know.

why dont you guys just make your own outa asda's cheepest vedg oil ,or better still just chuck it in the tank, its easy to make your own , bit messy from old oil [chip shop crud] . . . .jist er thought. . . .:)

A lot of people do throw veg oil in, although technically you need to have an engine conversion done, extra tanks, pre-heaters etc. The other down downside is that as veg oil is considered as a fuel alternative, not a fuel as EN14214 spec biodiesel is, it means you have to pay a duty rate of 48.35 pence per litre, add that to the cost of you oil and it generally works out dearer than Biodiesel.

Cheer Greenplanet.

Anyone any experience of that shell 'V' stuff. I put 3/4 tank in yesterday and I've done 280 miles so far. Don't think I'll fill up again with it, too expensive but it seems to go better with less throttle must have cleared something. Ready for Bio next. Also, had the belts and tensioners done last week , the injector timing was obviously out as it starts and goes much better now.

Guys,

I have been chatting to my skip drivers and they have told me a Bio Diesel company is being set up in Brimsdown North London..I will post the full address as and when I can..

Still think the Veg oil is the best bet..I know some lads put it neat into their new Vw engined TDI, Golfs etc..
