Am based in London.

We are using a garage in Kent at the moment which have been really good so far. I dont think my boyfriend will mind where he travels to as long as he gets there and it gets fixed.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Right there is Dunsfold Land Rovers, in Dunsfold, Surrey. They have a museum of the largest collection of Land Rovers in the country and have vast experience on LR's.

Might be a bit of a trek but if your south London it will take a little over an hour to get there straight down the A3 and off at Guildford.

Thanks, well definately give them a go once it gets back from Kent. Maybe it needs someone new to have a look over it. They may be missing something small as I am sure they are probably sick of the sight of it.

Thanks for the help from some of you. Will look into a few things that you have mentioned. I am sure I didnt offend anyone on here (apart from the other jealous female). Have your rant mate..it will fall on deaf ears cos i aint going to come back here. Life is too short to have rows where they are not called for or asked for.

The fuel pump is noisy all the time now. Originally it was just as it was started up, but now as we are moving. If the fuel pump is noisey it sounds like it's drawing air in with the fuel. It isn't unknown for fuel filters to be duff even when new. TD5's are more prown to this than most vehicles. I would try fitting a new fuel filter. Try bleeding the system. Turn the ignition on and wait for the fuel pump to cut out then fully press the accelerator 5 times in quick succession. This should send it into purge mode. Your fuel pump should start back up and run for several minutes and then cut out again. If it's still noisey repeat the process several times. If pumping the pedal 5 times doesn't activate the purge mode, turn the ignition off and back on again everytime the pump stops.

Most cases of air in fuel are something simple like a loose connection or union. Sometimes it can be a pin hole in a fuel line. Are there any times when it doesn't do it? such as when the fuel tank is full, after a long run etc?

Check the oil level in your engine. Is it higher than it should be? Smell and feel the oil to see if there's any sign that you may have diesel in it. If the injector O rings are leaking or the injector rail in the head is cracked these are the signs.

Almost sounds like you're having to prime the fuel system every time you start the engine. Your problem might be fuel draining back to the tank possibly, if there's a valve that's supposed to prevent this that might be worth checking. Another possibility is you're getting air into your fuel system giving you an air lock in the fuel lines or pump, which could be down to a faulty/incorrectly installed fuel filter, or damaged or loose fuel lines/tank.

And the stealing limelight comment... Nail on the head! :D
