Nope no back up leader, not after Pikey pulled out due to his mechanical issues, but I did put out a request for back up leaders but unsurprisingly noone was forthcoming in offering, so somehow we're going to have to try and get you up and running buddy ;):)

I might just be able to scrape enough money for an MOT on the 109 but I can't afford to tax it or i'd offer my slow services !

I did make an offer a few months ago to lead. Although not that familiar with the route i do have a bit of experience at leading laning trips. If you can send me the co-ordinates I can plot them and lead using my mem map on notepad. If WLM is up and running he could go as tail guard with me so between us we should be OK.

This would be presuming I get my wheel cylinder sorted the weekend and my 90 passes its MOT Monday.

Let me know.

I know bud and I'm still very grateful for the offer and would still like to use you as a tailender please. But (and no disrespect is intended towards you personally) I'm not going to have anyone leading a group that is not geographically familiar with the area and is relying solely on coordinates - a piece of electronic equipment could malfunction and render you and a group lost in the middle of nowhere or worse still inadvertently trespassing.
Any possibility of trespassing would be giving those who would have us banned from enjoying our hobby all the ammunition they need, especially as we are travelling through many ESA/AONB areas.
Call me old fashioned if you like but I'd rather run slightly larger groups and get it right than take any chances.....:)

i think slightly larger groups is the way to go,although ive done parts of the route i would also be relying on mm and i still cant get the maps to load on me pc.
im hoping to get the disco to pete at moonraker 4x4 on sat and hes letting me have a bit of lee way on the payment which is a great help.so hopefully nothin too disatrous ,it looks like the vacum on the brake master cylinder dont seem to be working which is why i have to keep pumping the brakes to get them to work..jase fatboy 11 is still willing to lead if larger groups arnt prefferd:tea:
