Live in Maltby south Yorkshire. And real struggling. To find places to go without getting I. Trouble. Any good website. To help out I

I wish you luck with Trailwise ,I have been a member of GLASS for years never been able to use it .Could not even get a membership card off of them last year it was lost in the post and there is no way to replace it .Wont be joining again ,if you look on Facebook there is a Yorkshire green laning page .

Glass, Trailwise .. works a treat .. ;)

@boycie I don't know why you have trouble, there's a new system now which is (mostly) better integrated and works way better than it ever did. If you want to join again, give me a shout and I'll try to sort it for you if you like. I've sent a mail in to membership and hope to get a reply soon.

To be honest Paul I just gave up with GLASS I have been a member for many years ,I thought it was the right thing to do BUT never really got any thing out of it and when my membership card did not turn up and I was told you can't have one we have no way to issue a new one "but you don't need one do you ?"I am afraid that was the last straw and I am not the only one not rejoining around here . My complaint is not with the area reps I know a few and go lannng with them they are nice helpful people although Kirk and Darren plus one other have fallen out with GLASS .Thanks for the offer thou as I said nice helpful people .

OK, no worries.

I know there are issues, but I prefer to stay on and fight 'from within'. I do, however, understand the frustrations Kirk etc had and sympathise with them. I won't burn my bridges though .. :)

Good for you keep up the good work ,I think GLASS is needed and I know its run by volunteers quite a few of them I know and have been laning with and they do give their time for free so I won't knock the reps and the like they have helped me out on many occasions .

How about the local county council definitive map?

Even with a useful resource like trailwise it's best to check the status of lanes against the definitive map anyway.

Where trailwise really comes into its own is as a way of getting reliable information of the type of drive and condition a lane is.

@boycie Got this reply on the Glass forum.....

Send an email to trailwisevalidation@glass-uk.org with your
Full Name
Glass membership number
Post code

Validation keys are sent out normally within 24hrs!

Membership cards are not issued at all now, so lost ones simply cannot be replaced, we have no facility to do so.

Hi Paul I don't know if I am a member still and I don't know my membership number as I could not get a membership card I am not sure if the number changes each year but THANKS anyway .I may need your expertise in the future if that's ok as the wife want's to have a few days in Yorkshire later in the year .
