Hello everybody, i am 18 years old ,live in the manchester area, and have just passed my test, i have just got an insurance quote for £2600 on a 1992 110 2.5 200 TDI defender lwb, is this a good price, i think it it as most quotes have been around 7000 haha, cheers

That's silly money. Best bet at the moment might be to go as a named driver and get your dad or whoever to be the main policy holder, at least that'll bring it down some. Only problem is you usually wouldn't accrue no claims discounts that way but some insurance companies do them for named drivers

Hi, i can do it where my gramdma is the main driver and im a named driver and it cuts it by half but i want to build up my ncb, and cheers mate,

I'd go for as cheap as poss for now. Once you have had your license for a year you should see a significant drop.

As said do named for now, then at 19 do main thats what I'm doing just had 2nd year renewal and is only £100 more for me as main driver :)

My lad passed his test in February and was only 17 when he insured a 1989 TD with just me on his policy as a named driver £1550 with Aviva.
Hope this helps.
MUST TELL THEM TO TELL THE SUPERVISOR ITS A VAN
Once we got that through the quote was good.
