Just to let you all know that I am now officially the Glass Area Rep for South Yorkshire.

Not got the full email and stuff yet, but it's something I've given a lot of thought to and is something I want to do.

I feel passionately about Byways and Green lanes and drive them whenever I can, even if they're as flat as pancakes with nothing to see! I do this so I can say, "Well I use it" when the councils try to close them, so it seems like I can now do this with some back-up!

I don't know much about a lot of South Yorkshire lanes, other than Doncaster and Rotherham areas, but I'll soon sort that .. Any laning queries just ask away .. If I don't know the answer I'll get someone who does or I'll research it and find it .. ;)

That's good Paul, I should think it is a pretty thankless task, but well done for putting your head above the parapet! :)

Paul, who is the GLASS rep for hampshire? do you know? I'd love to take on a role like that for the area but simply do not have time, although I do have things I can do to help! If you PM me and let me know/get me some contact details I may be able to help out ;)

I thought all of Yorkshire was all clumped together, if I read Sues post correctly.

No, that's only the Facebook page. Makes sense, there's not many lanes in my area but in Sue's there's loads .. ;)

Patrick Manuel, Hampshire Rep is what's listed.

I'm new to it so dunno my way around properly yet. Soon as I can I'll get better detyails for you. Just got in and nackered so it'll be tomorrow at the earliest.

Hi Paul, I've found your post about laning in S Yorkshirk. I'm totally new to it and I'm trying to get out there, but I think part of a group would be a lot safer and better way for me. I'm only in Wakefield, do you have any advise or small groups going out.

Just keep an eye out for groups going out locally. Definitely it's best not to go yourself, and even if you have a mate in another vehicle, especially if you're both new, make sure if one gets stuck the other doesn't!!

I'm currently nursing a slipped disc and without a motor so not taking any out for a short while ...
