No back on itself through the plastic so the tip pokes back in the cab, thats for internal temperature. I don't worry too much about external I look at it when I get in my car see its freezing bang the heater on and watch my temperature go up as I'm nice and cosy. Then get a shock when I get out. :mad:

Whatever you do don't drill through your roof lol. We don't need more leaks ;)

The lower thermometer probe sticks out just below the lower thermometer. I'll see if I can get a picture of the other one today.

I put my probe sensor on the back of my front bumper behind the winch part so out of the sun light so hopefully not giving silly readings, and been like that for ages and seems to give accurate readings
