How easy was it to fit them led lights

Led was simple enough actually. You just unscrew the instrument panel and all the bulbs twist out behind the face. Twist the bulbs and the one with the bulbs with the green sheath you replace with the led. Also at the top of the instrument you have the two main led and a filter. Undo the screw lift it up and remove the green filter. Then change the two bulbs for leds. Max an hr to do the lot and the clock and central panel. I'd order a kit online. I ordered one off eBay but had some problems so wouldn't recommend the guy who sold it me.

Did you take any photos? We love photos!

Who did you buy the kit from so we know who to avoid? Linky?

:D

yes, bit of a downer, but I thought it might fit in the plastic bit just infront of where the front sunroof handle is. There is supposed to be a bolt under the cover. but there isn't on mine, and I think it'll fit.

Loving all the gadgets on here! Most up to date thing I got on me disco at the moment is the original land rover tape deck radio :D well its a upgrade on the vinyl record player you get in them old series landys :p

I have fitted a few gadgets over the time....

Console with lots more 12v sockets, cup holders, and 2 volt meters, one for each battery (right side is the big main battery that now does nothing as all aux stuff routed onto the 2nd battery :D)...

Push button start...and the switch below that is for the veggie heaters ;)

Boost gauge (running at aprox 1.1 bar :D), and tweeters too (one each side of course ;))...

Temp gauge for inside and out...

Parrot hands free and switches to control bumper spots and roof lights (so they can come on with either main beam, or on separately as work lights). Have the same set up for the rear work lights too - only they either come on with the reversing lights, or just on as work lights - even put red LED's in so they also act as tail lights ;)...

Plus a few under the bonnet - heat exchanger and injector heaters for warming up the veggie ;) air horns hidden behind the grill, xenon projector headlights with DLR's and LED indicators and side lights and so on.....

cheers bud ;)

Push start resulted in problems starting, so I first of all ran a new 12v power from my second battery to the alternator, then decided to hook this up to the ignition switch, with a few relays here and there which resulted in a nice push button starter, that only works with the ignition on full ;)

Can anyone beat switchable white/red interior illumination AND dashboard blackout (disconnects dashboard illumination from side lamp circuit) for ultimate useless gadgetry?

I planned it for night use and tbh the red lighting is great, haven't ever used the blackout though but tbh haven't been shooting/lamping in it yet :p

I do a lot of lamping and woild like a master switch to kill all interior lights and dash lights. I'd also like some way to change headlights to red bulbs and then white on a switch as well but not sure that's possible.

it is with separate lamps

This thread has given me the taste, firstly, inside and outside temp sensors. How easy are they to wire up?

Easy.
The one Chris posted just needs a live ( fused) and an earth going to it. Then the sensor put somewhere.
The 2nd one with the clock etc is plug and play via cigarette lighter socket. :)
