Lets have a poll: which is most embarrassing being an Essex boy or listening to Heart? (Which can be heard all over the country)

Anyone got any more gadgets? :)

Yes a few,

Remote start and stop, from 100 meters away.
Voice controlled switches, from mobile or tablet or laptop.
Quad 40 ltr fuel tanks = 160ltrs ( standard is 80 ish)
Built in water purifier/ desaliniser/ deioniser
On board fresh water tanks.
Loads more..........
One of the many things that I have on the go is a bolt on track system to allow more freedom, or at least reduce the problems.

switches to control bumper spots and roof lights (so they can come on with either main beam, or on separately as work lights). Have the same set up for the rear work lights too - only they either come on with the reversing lights, or just on as work lights -

How do you have the lights wired up? Was trying to figure out how to do that, especially with rear work light....

A wiring diagram would be handy :D

it’s one of those things that’s easier to explain than try and write down.
You have a normal circuit for the lights with relay etc.

The input wire (+12v) you have to trigger the relay which will normally be from your main beam feed, you also put a switched+12v permanent feed to, but then you need to put 'in-line' a 12v diode on both the main beam feed and the 12v live feed to stop them switching on each other.
Its the same for the rear work lights, only your live switch is from the reversing lights.

I will see if I can draw up a diagram cos I reckon that description above only makes sense to me!!!

It's simpler to have a 2 way rocker switch

Centre output pin goes to relay exciter

One pin goes to lighting feed

One pin goes to permanent 12v feed

That way you can have the lights on all the time or switched by another lighting circuit, or if you fit on-off-on switch centre position is off which is handy for roof lights

Yeah, forgot to mention the 2 way rocker switch

niceeee! easy to install?

Yeah, you get all the wiring (2 standard Din plugs) that go in the back of your radio, through the magic box and out the other side.

Hardest part is working out where to put it all!

But pairs and syncs with all our phones via bluetooth - sends over the address book etc, and is all voice activated. In my opinion one of the best hands free out there - better than some of the car ones I have fitted - Disco 3 one comes to mind - 'phone dial name' 'sorry, not recognised!!!'
