Hi Just joined your forum and need a bit of advice Please.
I have searched high and low trying to find the answer without any luck so decided to ask on here.
I have had a 2001 freelander TD4 for nearly a year now and apart from the turbo pipe splitting not had too many problems, until recently when i started to notice something which is sending me potty.
Its quite difficult to explain but i will try my best.
When i first start driving everything is fine but after about 10 mins the problems start, whilst driving along if i take my foot of the accelerator to slow down, the car appears to stop to quickly as if the brakes are on, then when i put my foot back on the pedal it feels like its holding back as if i have a caravan on the back or im towing something heavy.
Most people i have asked have said it sounds like the brakes are rubbing which makes sense but the problem is, if i take the car out of gear is rolls to a stop on its own without the holding back feeling.
Im getting quite worried now as i cant afford a massive repair bill at the moment, anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
