I've got about 6 mm of clearance between the tyre side wall and strut with my current setup. I have 225/60/17 Maxxis Bravo 771 AT tyres. There's plenty of space between the top of the tyre and spring cup, maybe 25mm. However the space from sidewall to strut, is much less.

It depends on the make. Most seem to but are very close. I've been asking a lot about tyre sizes and spacers recently. I've got my 5mm spacers if a touch more is needed.

must admit though i never got stuck on grass in my hippo , was a cracking motor , only thing was the clearance that held u up sometimes , done well round the lz greenlaning event , will always have a soft spot for them

was it a fender that got stuck on grass
