It's like anything. It depends how you use it. If you have mud terrains and drive like a looney. Then they aren't great. But if your sensible they're fine. I think more come into the sensible bracket than don't so 2wd is rarely a problem. Put mud terrains on a v6 and a looney behind the wheel then throw in some rain and it'll under steer and wheelspin everywhere
Guess that's where I was going wrong then in my K series when it was 2WD.

Back on topic.
I have to say the 50mm lift + bigger AT tyres gives my car a stance I'm very happy with. :)
Mind you I might purchase another set of camber bolts for the rear.

Having a vcu and props fitted reduces front wheel spin when pulling away because the vcu activates as soon as the wheels start to spin, therefore telling the rear wheels to share the forward drive. The difference with/without the vcu is surprising on the v6. I filmed with/without vcu on grass and the difference is noticeable when pulling away. Similar to the FL2 applying drive to the rear wheels when pulling away, then releasing it if yer not in any of the special terrain response drive modes.

I think everyone is in agreement with that Hippo - everyone that is except Rache!!!
I hope he read the response I gave him (after the silly ones) so he stops his quest. If not it's going to cost him more £ for nothing.
I was concerned about beasty and his brake concerns. Didn't want him thinking he could buy a FL1 and remove the vcu to get the back end out round the corners.

Under tray mod so I can only remove the plastic and not the whole frame when I do my two yearly oil changes,
There's a hole in my plastic thing so I can get to the sump plug.
Do you change the oil every 2 years or twice a year. I'm confused

holes in your under tray?
I took mine out completely, guessed that the frame surround should be enough.

yeah, I think I will be adding some extra material in future. Just waiting on the tap set so I can recondition my spare VCU and I might fit an aluminium bash tray.

Must be a dog with 200k miles to be that cheap. Either that or very very hot. :p
132,000 granted ive seen better. its got a ccu fault. mechanically it seems fine, put 50mm lift on, getting some 17" rims and probably 235/65/17 AT's, van interior, just fitted one of my Td4 snorkel kits. its getting a good clean tomorrow to photograph the snorkel.

Nice one, it's fun getting a good car for cheap and playing with it.
BTW I know the 17" wheels look better but I found 16" tyres are a lot cheaper.
