For future references, like this, right? :)

Thanks

I'm starting to think starter motor / alternator something. There is little wire in between, very corroded, on the right side of the engine as you face the windscreen, at the bottom. I'll take some photos in the morning.

The starter is engaging and turning the engine. It's just not firing.

How did the problem first start?

Timing belt jumped... So new timing belt kit, full service, car works perfect now. Thanks for your support guys!

Sorry mate, it occurred to me at some point it might be the timing belt but with all the talk about no spark I didn't mention it. Glad you got it sorted.
Unusual for the belt to jump. Lucky it didn't do any damage.
Glad it's sorted.
Last time I fitted a timing belt I thought I had it tightened properly but turned out I was turning the tensioner the wrong way.
Any time I fit a new belt I always use the twist method at the end to double check and this is what saved me having the belt slip at some point.
I figured out what I was doing wrong, re tightened it and all good.
Not saying this is what happened but it must have been loose to slip.
