re lt230 , i did say dont quote me. wonder what i have in my 90 rrc with a chain then?

re lexus box, i only know about zf boxes

maybe it's some sort of range rover incarnation of an lt230

are you sure its not a borg warner, as fitted to range rovers, with a chain and viscous centre...?

also donor has some serious callipers on front, thinking brake mod to stop 90 or an parachute.
Possibly borg warner is it auto?

4jvpsh

yeah i have just looked on ashcrofts and i have a borg warner on the 1990.

sorry for confusion , i though they all had a number.

i wonder what the 72 has as its integral box?

4 speed Lt95

If I can make callipers fit I will, all fun

yeah, i meant the transfer box, or they all come under the 1 number?

good luck with the conversion mate

LT95 is virtually bullet proof, next lt85 , then r380 as lt77 is fragile compared to the others
The lt depicts the distance of shafts, range rover classic was borg warner
Range Rover Classic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

lt230 which fits lt77, lt85 or r380 manual gear boxes with diff lock defender/discovery.

Worse bit is identifying ecu as several and different wiring on each, so will pick apart in car and remove wires from loom that are excess.

Other concern is getting transfer box angle correct with adapter

hows progress mate? :D

I had a big pile of new bits arrive for my 72, all brakes and suspension though.

One of the problems with it is several different ecu's used and some have separate fuel pump ecu as yet haven't found correct wiring diagram.

started tearing it to pieces, I'd like to use cruise control etc
so we started to seperate loom and identified wiring to fuel pump by separating it out to mutiplug.

Quite a bit of dash stripped, plan is to remove wires we don't need. I also need to work out if imobilzer sends coded pulse or just supplies a feed or earth to ecu or relays.

so the end game will be to dismantle electrics and have just wires to run engine, gearbox and cruise control. dash gauges are ecu controlled so will decide what to do with them as well

the unused wires will be removed from multi plugs, I can then shorten etc and use loom tape to make it neat.

thisz thread is bollox without pics:D:D:D;)

here you go made a start, lexus has slightly less wiring than a space shuttle, some of the plastic wiring supports are ridiculously strong
