Mine have nice wide spaced tread which makes them hellanoisy but they should/did fling mud out nicely.

They're is no better pattern for deep mud than a simex pattern for sure, they are also the most likely pattern to break shafts, the shoulders are ridiculous!

Regards the VJ910, with 24mm uneven tread blocks, anyone who says they aren't gonna dig is clearly mislead, but I hold my hands up, simex is the daddy for mud with good road manners on the central blocks.

The GT radial is a good tyre for the money that's for sure.

I just love discos on wide tyres too much to even consider fitting anything other than the widest.

I'm not competing with it so getting stuck every now and then isn't a problem and my view is that when I look at the creation I have built whether it's in the shop, on the street or on the trail, be it stuck or unstuck, I still wana be able to say "that's awesome and I love it"

That 910 will be a daddy in real life, I was SO close to buying them and then the Pitbulls came along and I adore them, they're better than my old tyres and have so much image/style which my Disco really appreciates.

I don't know of anyone else on 910s because everyone in the UK is scared of anything over 11" wide so I'd be straight in there with the wildcard choice, I specifically have never fitted simex or similar cos that's what everyone else uses and they're cheap and readily available and I'm not interested in the obvious choice or easy option!

agreed on the simex snapping shafts for fun i have done two intha last 4 months since fitting simex copies(insa's) but by god they are good in the muddy stuff

See I'm very much like that, not wanting to follow the crowd.
I ran the simex pattern in 31" form on my old truck and it used to do brilliantly well in mud on p&p days. Infact I never broke a half shaft, did kill a diff mind.
I know the wider will look bloody awesome and that why they are so tempting, even though that psuhes the price to just shy of a grand!

 deliveries not quite that fast!
They'll be arriving at work Friday and being fitted Saturday ready for p&p day sunday

Damn good choice ... Kudos to that man.

... nice to have a guinea pig for product testing, thobut .. ;)

To be honest, I can't see it being a bad decision, they'll certainly be unique for a while and with 24mm tread you won't have any issues with grip. I doubt they'll give too much road noise either, compared to extreme treads anyway!

I'm next in line for my defender 90, I want to go down the 33" route, but like him it takes me a while to make decisions, I love the look of creepy crawlers but not very good in mud I imagine!! Insa special track look good and seem to have good reviews,I think the wide look is awesome noisy's disco looks sick!! vj910's seem good to we will wait and see ;)

At the min im only running 265/75/16 goodyear wranglers standard lift they are fairly good but not great in muck!!

Challenge guys run simex or creepys so you may be surprised actually but the Maxxis variant are 35s minimum, god knows about the proper dick cepeks!

Accepting donations for half shafts, Diffs and wheel bearings........

Interested to see what happens pal.

I've never broke a 10 spline shaft and don't think I will, have twisted em mind but I reckon 24s break easier!
