Have cut the arches right out and fitted flatdog extended arches to cover the tyre - I don't find I have any problems day to day or on 90% of greenlanes its just when I get onto the P&P sites I get rubbage :( I personally think it sits real nice and for that reason plus the fact I don't want any more dents in the roof I'm not that keen on the idea of going up any more than I have too!

Yes I agree it's only occasionally on full bump you get rub but this can be too often!

It does look well as it is and I often look at mine and think 33s are just a tad too small, but I think of my halfshafts too and find solace!

When it comes to lanes, lowness is key. I have sneaked down tight lanes without a kiss where others in jackers have destroyed roof panels and alpine lights.

I have zero intention to take mine higher, both for tight lanes as above and road handling, it's a v8 for a reason.

You have to be inventive with your flatdogs, I have mine semi ridgedly cable tied on and as above the panels cut away to the cable tie holes behind, plus with the right offset you'll eliminate a lot of rub, just those rear doors that are a bugger now but so handy for me as a camper vehicle i wouldn't want to 3 door it!

Cheers :)

You know they're gonna be BADMAN with 24mm tread

Will stabs taller than 33 for sure and be a unique choice

Be your own hero and get them.

I'm so bad at making desicions ha ha! Just don't want to end up with something that batters the arches every time I go to p&p days.

Good points, but gotta say my 3-door as a single person camper is ace! I have access to a rear seat, loads of room for changing, a table for cooking inside etc etc. Mind, I also need to keep rear seats in for a while 'cos kids still need to be with us occasionally, taking them to Uni etc .. As soon as I can, though, I'm gonna lose the offside pair of seats altogether for spares storage, and keep just the nearside single .. ;)

Your rear doors are also so useful though for access to spares etc .. arguable points as to which is best, but it's nice to see and discuss differences that suit what 'we' want to do personally.

285 Seroccos vs 33 910's I reckon

Heheheh, dunno .. you're on your own now .. ;)

Siroccos definitely do the business, 910's are probably more unknown, but are different, so maybe a tad cooler .. ;)

It's whether I can get away with the wider ones without compromising off road capability.

I got 15" procomps on ther rear and +2 on the front atm... cant fault them for the money. I get 0 rub on the rear of mine ;)
If you carry allot of weight like sam it might be worth getting some beefy shocks to cope with the hest buildup better.

You're not gonna find them 910s having any lack of dig with tread like that!

PLEASE be a pioneer!

Yes indeed, for instance my car is packed with stuff that needs accessing all around the edges of the load area with the less regular stuff in the middle.

Whereas a 3 door might be packed with the regular stuff towards the rear.

Massive trade off between access and arch clearance tbh!

Bj's are £145 more for the set compared to 285's.
Think I'm gonna stick with Sirocco's, they measure up as only an inch narrower than the 33's but the aggressive tread pattern should be better in the mud and I'll get more clearance in the arches.

Can always get some 2nd hand 35 MT's next year for day to day driving ;)
