Breaker bar on an ali block wtf.

I needed it to get my old ones undone, and I'll be using it for the 90deg then 90deg so I can do it nice and slow and controlled. I wasn't going to do them up as much as a I could with my 4ft breaker bar. That would be stupid.

4ft breaker and a scaffold pole???? Either I am a bit of a beefie, but I have never needed more than a 750mm bar on anything!! :D:D
Poser. I only weigh 75kg and have never needed a breaker bar to undo anything on the engine. Although that is because we don't let the service bay knobs touch the important stuff. I've seen one of those ****ers torque up road wheel nuts (on a Landy) to 300nm.

Cheers fella, i'll bear that in mind. Just pricing up the parts from Turners. They do a full top end kit i,m looking at :

http://www.turnerengineering.co.uk/acatalog/Gaskets---Seals.html

Also, guess i need the sealing compound (Dirco S) for the inlet manifold gasket?
Will check my sockets tomorrow.
Was looking at the LPG pipes etc...that's going to be fun!

That's the one I bought. You'll also need new exhaust manifold to pipe gaskets.

RAVE says use Loctite Superflex Black on the inlet manifold. I'll have some of that left over you can have too. LPG is easy, it's just pipework. Colour code them, or mark the cyclinder number each injector goes to and you can't go wrong.

I am still the best. Just posted in that neighbourhood. It is a less than ideal posting. But heyho. Gotta teach you Southerners how to do manly things.

Its not the Barracks by the Defence Geospatial Intelligence Agency (or whatever they have changed themselves to this time).....

My Father worked for them...they used to the Mapping and Charting Establishment - Royal Engineers...then something else then DGI......

Nah, technically I am in Housnlow, but I am so close to Heathrow I am claiming it.

Oh, Hounslow....lovely part of the world....!

So at what 'phase' are you in? Still in training, or have you been 'placed' (can you tell I am not a Military man :D)

Just across the road from me then.
Ah yes. I will be invading yojr neck of the woods soon for Army Navy. Going to get messy.

I am in grown up T'Armeh now. They actually have me doing things like work.

Housnlow is lovely. Only 5 or so minutes from the M25 and fuel is still under a pound a litre. What more could I want?

My local is the closest of the pubs allowed to stay open past 6pm on Army Navy day. And I'm not that close.

Groovy like a drive in movie.....

So what have they got you doing?? unless your are Hereford bound or part the 21st SAS(R) A Sqd.....and can't say :D:D:D

It is sucks. After 12 hours of drinking some food would be nice but everywhere closes to try and get rid of us.

Well I am looking to retrade to a Hereford outfit. But nothing as crazy as SAS. Not at my age.

Right now I am attached to the Guards fixing the vehicles they keep on breaking. If you need someone to spin spanners on a 300TDI Defender, I'm your man.

Glad it is working out for you bud.....keep on 'Being the Best' mate.....

I wouldn't call it being the best. More being stubborn. Good fun though. Where else can you spend 4 months of labour on one Landy, countless parts and the owner not bin it? Must be about 8k in parts alone. Still a crock of ****.

I assume you're still making your millions designing plane parts... unless the screams of a baby in the house hasn't sent you insane.

Still designing bits, although our main contract has changed to primarily service and maintenance now, with the odd design element thrown in...so to quote my bass 'There is now defined role for you moving forward, but we don't want to let you go....' which is nice to know....so I am doing a few designs for things until the new contract starts in April, then the Lord only knows....

Head Office has asked me to look into an Android Application for our company to give a 'differentiator' when they are going for contracts....what that is yet I have no idea...they just said, we want an App, but no idea what we want it to do, or what it can do.....so I am rapidly trying to learn C# and Java at the moment !!!!

Summer (our daughter is assume.... and turning into a right character....bless her...21 months old now!

So you're going to be The IT Guy. Good luck with that, I did it for a few years and well, I wouldn't go back. Haha. You could probably do what you want with Excel and with Office365, you can take it anywhere on any platform. But hey, if it means you get paid to learn a new skill, be rude not to.

Crikey, is it already nudging 2 years? Didn't think it was that long ago. Has she started talking back yet? 'Cause that is when you're in trouble.

Somehow I imagined your kid would have mini overalls with a green oval badge on.

She looks taller than me. You should get her a Heynes manual and toolbox now. Won't be long before you'll have an apprentice to reach those awkward nuts and bolts. Not that you should encourage child labour... ;D
