+1 there, best description I have read too! I need to get a set of NRV’s, ‘‘twas the only things I didn’t replace when I rebuilt the EAS , I did sort of repair them a bit though. I am in the process of prepping a new replacement block and have everything except the NRV’s
 
From the EAS System Info Doc. (Also might explain the "random high mode" fault several peeps have seen when the valve solenoid connector pins are loose.)

AUTOMATIC HEIGHT SELECTION
The system will default to extended ride height if the system is unable to lower a sensor’s bit
count for any ten-second period, indicating the vehicle is “high centered”. A flashing high
profile lamp will indicate extended ride height. The system will stay in this mode for ten
minutes or until the operator manually requests a lower ride height. The system could also
drop to standard if the vehicle speed exceeds 35 mph.


For manual selection, a momentary button & 10 second timer relay in the 12V wire that triggers the Exhaust Valve to the Driver Pack would probably be best (Pin-9 on ECU C117). This should trigger Extended mode because the ECU then cannot lower any corner, but hopefully avoid faults. I'm assuming that fault detection requires the ECU to see longer than 10 second height change failures ?

Extended height is not extra extended height which is what the OP was asking about..

I've been grounded and felt it trying the extra-extended. As others have noted, it didn't help because the diffs were fouled, I didn't have TC and because of the angle the free wheel on each axle just span. Might have stood a chance with diff-locks.

Ok treat high as extended wade height. After that is none selectable extra extended. Maybe i worded it slightly wrong.

I think the Nanocom calls Motorway LOW so there're a lot of interchangeable terms going around. Now I think about it I might have heard Highway used too.

Yep for sure. Access-Motorway-Standard-Wade-Extra extended. Seem about right. :D;)
