Well, shes done for now. Still much to do, and a hell of a lot has been done. We spent a total of 39 hours believe it or not over the last 3 days.
When i bought it, there was some 285 Insa Turbos, 2in Britpart lift with rear dislocation cones and 1in spacers, 200tdi rear prop, and some cranked rear arms.
Its now had the following:
1. Replacement front axle with new teflon swivels that have been rotated by 4 degrees to correct the castor, new bearings CVs and seals, extended brake lines, +40mm spring platforms that have been welded on further round to correct the spring and damper angles, +5" Terrafirma Long travel shocks, +2" Bearmach Springs, Gwyn Lewis extended turrets with dislocation cones, HD turret rings, galvanised spring seats, terrafirma extreme steering damper, defender front steering components (so that the damper is moved in front of the axle so therefore tucked behind the steering guard, which needed a tag welding on the chassis)
2. Replacement rear axle, 200Tdi prop flange with new seals, 200TDi rear prop, +40mm Spring platforms welded on, Galvanised spring seats, +5" Long travel terrafirma shocks with new mounting brackets, +2" Bearmach springs, X-Eng helper springs (no need for dislocation cones), Wide angle A-Frame ball joint, X-Eng rear trailing arms with ball joints,
3. 33x12.50x15 Insa Turbo Super Special Tracks on -50mm 10x15 Black Modulars
4. Defender arches all round with around 4" cut out of the metal work. The resulting gaps in the doors tabbed and fillered and under sealed.
5. Extra camel cuts all round to suit new bigger arches.
Next is a good clean, dash replacement, body lift, replacement galv'd chassis, cage, etc etc...
Anyone want to buy my 30mm Spacers?
Also for sale have some rear dislocation spring hangers, full Janspeed decat rear side exit exhaust, and a disco transfer box if anyones interested....
