Sorry to gate crash your thread guys
But I've got a quick question for you
A mate of mines got disco1 he lives over your way and wants to take it to the Essex off road pay & play place
So the question is as sure one of you must of been there
What's it like over there / is he likely to have any problems with a std discover ie will he just be getting pulled out all the time or on the other hand is it just to easy
He's asking me about it but I've only done the ones near me so I said I'd tag along if he goes
Thanks

It's good over there, gets very muddy so will want some MT's fitted otherwise he will be slipping everywhere. There is a fair bit of recovery going on if its rained, if its dry then all the course can be pretty easy. Look for bures pit, a lot more varied P'n'P day

I would say a completely standard disco might struggle a bit, but that's all part of finding out the limits of the truck.

As Jon said, burrs pit is open ground in a lot of places and more suitable for the beginner in a standard landy.

Currently on the lookout for a TD5 Disco. Dont know a great deal about them, other than i dont think Mr Spankee liked his, so if anyone can tell me what to look out for thatll be great. All my cars are going to replace them with one of those.....

Don't know about the disco, but the fender td5 is pretty sorted, and you can tweak the ecu, because we all know you can't leave leave the #### alone.

Chassis rot so badly the pressure of expanding rust blows the chassis apart along the weld seam. This is at the rear next to the fuel tank, done a few now

Well im not sure what to do short term, maybe a TD5 with a years MOT, or a P38 with the same, but long term, i.e. after christmas im buying a Q7!
