Geoff, let me have a word with some of my suppliers and see if I can get a trade price for yah, have you got a part number?

As Mikey said LHG100580

Td5 2001 crankshaft pulley TV damper and oil seal ERR5992 and new bolt.
Thanks mate owe you one.
Lots of people do the Britpart ones, but quite a few different makes.

Probably wishful thinking that the parts I ordered online last night will be here in the morning, but I don't think I'm gonna finish work that late tonight and it's not due to rain tomorrow so I shall remain hopeful!

Right had a phone around this morning, I can get a genuine pulley @ 495.60 (vat incl.), RRP is about £570 for a genuine which is a bit steep. I can get Britpart/Allmakes ones but they are cheaper to buy from LR direct who do them at £280ish, haven't found them any cheaper than that I'm afraid

Its a hard call wether to go for a new or a breakers one but I think if it was cheap enough I would go breakers, its a risk but if its £30-40 its worth the risk IMO

On a slightly different note, managed to finally get me some lights on the fender, they were pricey at £200 for 5, 4 spots for the front and a flood light for the back, they are the mutts nuts though, really really bright and powerful, light up loads infront

Yep, went for these on the front DURITE POWERFUL COMPACT WORK LAMP WITH BRACKET 0-420-55 | eBay and this one on the rear DURITE POWERFUL COMPACT TWIN 3 WATT WORK LAMP WITH BRACKET 0-420-60 | eBay, Durites are just up the road from me and being impatient I tend to use their stuff more often than not, they are excellent lights though, for a 5W 0.7amp unit they give better light than the 5 100W halogens I had on my disco. I didnt pay those prices, still cost me £200 for the 5 of them though!

Looking good Jon ;)

With this wonderful weather we are having anyone want to go out over the weekend and get muddy?

Looking good Jon

I'm only free sunday morning, we could do stapleford golf course first thing. Not to far for you to come as well.

Thanks for that Jon, will let you know. Considering going down the used route, but its always a gamble as its a big job ( for me ) to do. Think I might have to take it off the road for a while and get all the bits sorted, still not put HD steering setup on, rear diff is a bit iffey and now the weather is poxy got to do it all on my drive.

Hey guys,

If you don't mind dragging a 200TDI defender around this sunday i'd love to tag along.

Colchester seb, Essex is accessible for me. I'm available sunday and ready to get some more mud on...

Let us know.
Cheers
Fab
