I changed all my diff/box oils today, I had what looks like a gear tooth stuck to the transfer box drain plug magnet, looks like im gonna have to change that at some point soon, its running tho so no rush. I dont think this thing has ever had the oils changed, a bit of TLC though and it will be sweet, need to look out for a disco box and front axle, possibly the rear as well... Its all for the future tho...

I Have a front axle here if you need one.

Its complete at the moment so I don't know what you need, but let me know. :)

Ah wicked, the diff housing is dented in on mine, its ok but i cant fit a diff guard unless i bash it some more but i think that will split the casing if i do. I only need the center bit but its up to you., im happy to strip it though and give yah back the hubs and brakes an that, ready to sell on for a few more quid (keep the brake hoses for spares though ;))

I can strip it if you just need the casing.

Its almost off the truck now anyway. :)

Let me know when you want to come collect it. ;)

Learn to do the bits yourself, it will be alot cheaper. Defenders are farm and military vehicles, they are designed to be easy to repair, a haynes manual or the rave manual is a great guide for it but you will find its just nuts and bolts really...

In fairness I do want to learn and do it myself but the problem is time at the moment hence paying for bearing and a bit of welding. The doors and footwell welding I want doing I'm goin to learn and do myself! 13week old baby and a 6day week job means spare time isn't often haha

What axle has it got on it ?
They came with 10 spline as standard & a Disco is 24. The swivel housing has a different number of bolts.

The 6 bolt axles had completely round
Bangos the venter of the diff later ones have a flattened Bottom and about 1 inch
more ground clearance

well the landrover is back and all done and dusted! YIPPEE! Im guessing you lot prob dont overly care but since i sunk it months ago it wasnt quite right. Now shes fine. Just need to sort out a spare wheel (which is in the garage) then will use the tyres i have on there untill there dead then will change to my mud tyres!
