If all goes well today with my alternator and I manage to get me snorkel/wading kit fitted then count me in, where we thinking? I wouldnt mind doing the chelmsford/braintree way, maybe start of sudbury or something?

, jon youve got mm so find some routes and we will go for it,been looking at getting mm but me ipad wont hold a charge for long so i think i need a new one, i know geof said he will be up for a few lanes, been speaking to graham and he wont make it as he has stripped his engine down

Nope none of the above has been done - funds have run out for this month! So NEXT MONTH - BREATHERS! Will i also need wading plugs or is that just for if i do it alot?

Most folk change the fixing. They come with the kits on eBay. Or design your own: ACC Metric Pneumatic Push In Fittings
Eitherway it's one of the cheapest modifications you'll have to change.

I might have just had some luck with my landy. I am going to look at one this evening that has been kitted out for offroad - a disco 1 with wide angle props, winch and all the rest of it. Looking at possibly getting that, stripping it out and putting all the good stuff on mine and getting that back and running.
I have been so busy elsewhere doing other things, time has flown by and the land rover has moved 10 yards since I broke it back in Jan/Feb time. I'd love to get it working again

I had monday off work as I've just change the front axle & wanted to make sure it got done. Just driving to the shops & loads of white smoke coming out.

Will do, I have put my old aux. belt back on and I think thats improved it, will know on my drive home tonight. My snorkel is fitted now
so just my breathers to do, may have a go at fitting the diff guard tonight as well, and my CB, maybe a radio as well... So who else is coming sunday?

Graham found the settings for the head gasket and it is= torque to 40nm then 60deg and then 60 deg again, sequence will be on the bit of paper that comes with head gasket, also found out that you can also get a zero hole gasket that is slightly thicker than a 3 hole.

Just put it all back together, started it &......................... look's like I never had copper washer on the injector's as they had self sealed with rust.
The local dealer said he had all the gaskets, got there & the only one he didn't have is the one I wanted. No dots.

Guys, got a bit of a shopping list here - if you have any bits, let me know.
Front cranked arms.
Rear cranked arms.
Rear wide angle prop.
Rear diff.
300tdi steering box.
I should have all the other bits sorted now. just need to take the plunge now and be bothered to put it all back together.

got a P38 diff but don't think it will fit your axle.
