I got the little ones after my MOT, so will not be able to join you.

if it passes the I'll be about in the evening, Wednesday and Thursday I am with the kids , don't know about Friday yet.

Only night I am not busy is Thursday.
Si I'll be out then. Hoping to try a few lanes closer to Dunmow and maybe Good Easter ford?????
Spike said he should be about, anyone else?

After teaching a martial arts class mid morning I was in a fired up mood so came back, broke out the tools again and cracked on.

Both floor side panels now seam welded in. Put it this way, they'll never be removed again! Rear bridging panel in for crossmember to rear floor - this was fabricated in the end as I couldn't find anything to fit without buying something. Had to remove 10 cubic meters of crap out of the shed to get to the sheet folder :(

Main floor section is held in by a few rivets at the moment just to keep everything else aligned. I've even repaired around the rear n/s rear inner panel and rear light surround.

Plan for tomorrow (depending on weather) is to carry out repairs to o/s rear inner panel and around rear light cluster, fabricate cross members for boot floor and weld into place and maybe seam seal everything up. Anything else is a bonus - anything less is typical

Busy, busy

I wish I was, I started it last night no problem, just to make sure it would start, but alas, when out there this morn and it went heat.. wrrrr.....click, then click, click, click, I hope the battery is not dead, will call RAC later to get it started, and leave it running for a while hope it charges enough to start on Thursday morn, I got no power in garage or a charger....... one more reason to put second battery and alternator in, could of jumped off it this morn.

What time and where for laning thursday?

McDonalds (Braintree) @ 20:00 if thats good for everyone?
Where to go?
Good Easter ford is 30 mins away.
And / or we could do some of the lanes around Dunmow (small ford) then under the A120 and finish up at the normal Braintree lanes?

Or there looks to be a few lanes around Good Easter, but I have no experience of them or if there are any TRO's???????

Open to suggestions.

Hopefully will be able to join in the next laning evening. Got a few more bits to weld and paint then it'll be drivable again.

Got this done today along with most of the other side. Just need to grind back the welds and seam seal on o/s side then everything can be primed and painted!!! :D

Also steam cleaned the fuel tank.... that didn't go well  Resorted to the hosepipe instead as the heat was making funny patterns in the plastic

Other than the o/s sill to cut out and replace, there isn't any other work to be done that will immobilise the vehicle :)

Nick - Is there anything else you want to "maintain" on Saturday?

No, but lots I should.
Depends on how much time you want to commit / have spare
Just checked my MOT and it actually runs out Oct 1st so its coming round rather quick.
I should be round apx 11:00 if thats OK, and will need to get back before 19:00 (picking up kids).
This is my to do list, happy to do some of this and or have a local play.
De-Cat (I already have the pipe)
Breathers (I’ve done the axles and have all parts).
CB (yet to buy).
Check and adjust tappets (never done before).
Top up swivels (already have some oneshot).
Wheel arch, patch or new panel, what do you think (photo’s below).
Renew Auto oil and filter (have the oil not the filter).
Fit my QT diff guards (already have).
Get the dash lights working.

Weather looks like it should be OK.
I’ll also bring Stu’s hub spanner with me.
