Just thought... Don't the defender is the same as the disco without a mod.

Dam!

I'll wait until mine is fooled and leaking then will sort one out.

That could be interesting :D

I forgot to tell you.... you will need 2x new turret rings and 2x new rear spring retaining clamps.

Get them for Tuesday just incase they break. Normally they do. Mine did and so did my mates.

Turret ring part number RNJ500010 (make sure you get 4 nuts for each).

Rear spring retainer part number NTC6106

You'll want a pair of each.

Don't forget I have a discovery on my drive with loads of spares if you need anything including a good steering damper. ;)

Thanks Nick would love to come along, are the lanes your planning to use fairly easy as my disco is standard aprt from ATs all round dont want to damage it lol , can you post details of where you are all meeting and times ect Thanks, Steve.

When we did them in Dec (my first laning experience). I got stuck once.
I was in my Disco 1 and at that time only the only mod's where:
Front bumper valance removed
Steering guard (incorporating recovery points).
New set of AT2.

Big Stu took a few photos which he loaded onto the following link:
Picasa Web Albums - big_stu_12 - Green Laning ...

So you should be OK, but i did bend and flatten my rotten side steps. :D

Geoff,
Do you have the route programmed on your PDA?
I still have the paper route with mileage markings but the PDA would be much easier :D

Plucked a date out the air how about 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st Nov 2011?.
/QUOTE]

Looks like I will be ok for them apart from the Monday (due to lack of leave).
I'll come down on the Friday earlier the better and then leave after the last lane on Sunday.

But there is no way I'm sleeping in a tent at the end of November.
B&B, bunkhouse, hostel all ok with me.

Nick
Matts now put the calander on mud monkeys, so you know whats going on , lol

It summer, its always a busy time :p
I love playing in the Landy, but the UK waters are only good for playing in between June and Sept. If the sun is shinning and I'm not at work I'll be at the coast!

I have'nt got the route on my pda but i'm sure Stu has perhaps he can transfer on to mine if he can't make it.

OK thanks nick so i should be ok, have since purchased a winch and bumper so hopefully have that on in time, i did take my side steps off after a guy at the hand car wash tried to stand on them lol, you still havent said where and waht time were meeting unless ive missed it on here, so can you post again so i can note it down for the sat nav, cheers, Steve

I was under the disco a little while ago making merry with some cable ties ready for my axle breathers...... looked up and where my rear exhaust box broke off a while ago, right down the seam of the steel pipe is rotted out now. All the way to the centre box nearly. It is ready to unfold back to a flat piece of metal :eek:  Now I know what the dreadful drone has been while doing 70+ on the roads.

Not got any money to spend on an exhaust until at least the start of July    Working like mad but there doesn't seem to be any time OR money for the landy at the moment

Brian offered me his de cat and rear box but I don't have time to get it or 2 pennies to rub together for an exhaust right now

Landy fund is closed until further notice  :D

Got to get another Transit in the next 2 months too
