Not got any money to spend on an exhaust until at least the start of July    Working like mad but there doesn't seem to be any time OR money for the landy at the moment

Bad luck. How bad is it, can you still drive about?
be careful what you wish for
(post 2991).

OK thanks nick so i should be ok, have since purchased a winch and bumper so hopefully have that on in time, i did take my side steps off after a guy at the hand car wash tried to stand on them lol, you still havent said where and waht time were meeting unless ive missed it on here, so can you post again so i can note it down for the sat nav, cheers, Steve

Not organised finer details yet.
Once times / meeting point is arranged will PM details to those who have confirmed they are coming.
Glad you can make it.
ground seems to be getting a bit softer at last.

Good one Nick :D It's still drivable. I've driven my van for 3 weeks with no exhaust before to the amusement of the bystanders!

Will sort it when I can.

Did you get the note about the few bits you need for your spring transfer? Turret rings and rear spring retainers?

BTW I now have a lift kit :D:D:D:D:D:D
Came in early.

The back springs are huge.

But the shocks are not as shown / described. They have a blue plastic sleeve which will trap loads of ****.
The website showed them with a flexible gaiter.

They are labelled up with the correct ref's. Just hoping its a change of design rather than one with the wrong label put on

Have just sent Terrafirma a email asking if this is correct.
I'm guessing it is, but good to check.

Hi,
I've just purchased TF208 lift kit from Mansfield Motors in Essex.
The literature and your website shows and describes the shocks as having a flexible polyurethane gaiter.
The ones I have been sent (labelled as TF121) have a semi-rigid blue sleeve which would allow small stones, grit to become trapped.
Can you confirm if this is correct.
Best Regards
Nick.

If this is the design then the blue sleeve will be taken off very quickly!

Matt, sorry i did get your message about the turret rings and rear spring retainers.
I asked at Mansfield who suggested i take the two ?????rings????? (sorry forgot what they said) which you can just see in the photo (top left).
Is this ok?
If not they are only 5 min's down the road form me.
Still OK for Tuesday?
I need to sort some spring compressors. I know Stu has some so I might give him a call in a bit, hopefully be able to met up in the week.

They are the ones. The design changed. The flexible gaiters were the things that trapped ****e and then kept in sealed inside where it'd ruin the rams.

Yup, they are the turret rings to the top left. You just need 2x rear spring retainers which are basically 2 flat bits of bar with a hole in each end.

I've got a set of spring compressors so we should be fine.

Oh and the springs are bit aren't they?? :D :D :D All the better for lumping about with lol!

Tuesday is fine unless you want to do any earlier.

Guess I better leave them on.
If one fails and I've modified it the warranty wouldn't be valid.

Would love to do before Tuesday, but no time. Its just me and the kids at the weekend and they not too good with the spanners yet - No wonder with me as their role model

See you Tuesday.

Well I ordered my Springs, Shocks and dislocation cones today.....just could nto beat the deal i got , and for the money i got , i have gone yellow. Meduim Springs, 2" lift, so the blocks will come out nad be put back in when I got the other bits for a 4" lift, lol.

not to sure about the dislocation being zinc clour, tho, may spray them, but which colour Balck or yellow, it such a hard life thinking about things like that.

I was tempted. But will have to wait until you arrive with your spring compressor. I spoke to Stu earlier today and he is going to leave his with you on Sunday. That way we will have two for Tuesday.

Thanks Geoff, looks like I should be OK now.
Hopefully looking good that the Disco will be OK for the 18th

Nah still keep finding excuses to put it off lol.
Gonna make the effort to get it sorted this weekend, volunteers welcome! :D

Sorry Chris.
I've got the kiddies otherwise I would have liked to have helped. Might have learnt something.
Hope you get it sorted before the 18th

Matthew. If you want to take my centre box and rear box then you are welcome to them mate. Anything to help a fellow landyzoner keep legal.

You'd need to come to mine is the only catch as I don't want to put them in the skoda or the Beemer.

Advantage is we could swap them over outside mine and I can scrap your old pipe.

What did you want for the de-cat pipe and rear box? My centre box and manifold is the only decent thing in the exhaust system at the moment

Will have to wait a few weeks anyway now as I've barely got £10 and that'll be gone in the next few days as I need some push fits to finish my breathers off.

I wish you'd have phoned that weekend I spoke to you and I'd have took them while the cash was in front of me

Spring compressors come in a pair. One either side of one spring.

That's how things go sometimes.

Here's the deal, I have not advertised them so unless someone else asks me for them they are yours for free (centre and back box) the Decat is £15 as agreed and I am saving for you. So when you have money for the Decat if I still have the rest it's yours.

It will be difficult to remove while on The landy so I might wait to remove it when the rear axle is off.

If I pop to you at some point in the next 3 weeks and we can make merry with some tools. I just replaced a mates and it does come out quite easily. It slides out the back no probs

Then I can chuck it in the back of my disco and take it back home to assemble.
