hi, could anyone explain why my freelander cuts out after approx 15 miles from cold, then starts up straight away then does the same after about 5 miles, there are no strange noises coming from the engine, thanks jason

This has just started to me when on long journeys. Took it in and it's the Map Sensor. Cleaned up and put back at the cost of £68 but it doesn't seem right still so may need replacing at the cost of Approx. £300 they say. Get it put on a system to check faults.

Bart change your air filter un fuel filter furst[1,8.] . .lisa yours is a doozle td4 so check fuel filter first. . . .oh un earthling wiff cleaned map sensor if td4 ,then dissconect it ,if it runs better then it needs er new un. . . .

Had the same problem a couple of months ago. After 1 1/2 hours lost power, waited 10 mins, OK for 20 mins etc. etc.

Found answer on another site!!!!!!

Changed lift pump (in the fuel tank), All is well after 10000 miles including several long journeys (200 mile+)
