Hi everyone

Just checking its not me being a ****head but i bought this as buy it now (dont ask me why its still active) Anyway it arrived today broken which is the carriers fault but without the spot lights just the bar.

From the listing would you expect it come with or without the lights?

Looking at the price its at everyone bidding thinks the same as me being with the lights as already up to £40 plus carriage and you can buy a brand new one for £45.00!!!

I would of thought it came with the lights as well, bit misleading that ad, unless I am missing something as well.

To be fair the description doesn't mention the lights but this does make the picture misleading!

On a side note it could have been the "fresh coat of pain" and not the couriers that brie the bar! :p
 
Doesnt mention anything about the lights being included, it still should have been stated outright.
 
Could go either way.

It's a bit ambiguous as whilst the description states nothing about the lamps, the pictures show them attached.
Actually... arguably there's a whole Discovery attached too... :p

I think i'd have sent the seller a question as the listing isn't very clear.

Either way, it's broken, so open a dispute in eBay's resolution centre if you paid with paypal. Play the long game - hopefully the seller will tell you eff off. You can then escalate the case, ebay will find in your favour AND pay the return postage for you.

If the seller capitulates and says "return it" you'll be paying the return postage out of your own pocket unfortunately.
 
I wouldnt expect the lights. And i would expect it to fit a disco 1 td5 whatever one of those is?
 
says light bar nothing about lights. miss leading with the picture. But got to read adds as written. Lots of light bars sold by 4x4 accessory shops don't come with lights. OP made the mistake got to live with it, not the sellers fault

Not at all. It's turned up broken.
Back it goes for a full refund.
 
odd that i bought the EXACT same bar some 3 months ago
guys an arse knocking up bars in his shed and flogging em
as if they are from the motor pictured .
add is somewhat misleading but no it makes no mention of the lights
pictured being in the sale.
bars ok but i could have made the welds look better blindfolded wearing mittens!
 
The guy is a scrappy whos not a million miles from me. I asked him about some stuff months ago and he said he'd send me pics and put a BIN on for what I was after. Still waiting. My advice - avoid!!

But late for fergy but a warning to the rest of us.

As others have said dispute as its bust.
 
Hi Everyone

thanks for the advice, I am gonna have to put this one down to experience i think. Reason i expected the lights is if this come from a scrappy/breaker (which i think the listing implies) just breaking the vehicle they would of just sent the whole lot, as it turns out this bloke is knocking them up himself. The welding is crap to the point one of the lugs broke off in the post!!

I paid a BIN outside of ebay just sent the money through paypal. However I spoke to him and got a reasonable refund which covers the cost of the repair.
 
For future reference, if you've paid through paypal you get just the same protection rights as you do through ebay.

Aye, lesson learned, but at least you got something out of the transaction which, if you're not totally happy with, is more or less acceptable to you. :cool:
 
It may be ambiguous but if you look at other ads for lightbars showing lights too, I think most would include them or state otherwise.
