yes ..

and i don't lose any sleep over potentialy imploding swirl-flaps :)

as long as i dont have these swirl flaps , i'm happy,, strange why my grease monkey said i should get a bmw swirls flap kit ,,
so far haven't lost power over 75 mph on motorway

not so strange ..
it's only a minor technical note amongst a few other technical differences between
bmw as in rover vehicles .. 'n bmw engines in bmw vehicles ..
another difference is the engine-cooling system ..

so far haven't lost power over 75 mph on motorway

glad you got that sorted :)

i changed the Turbo Boost Control Solenoid

so fair to say .. that lack of filter ..

http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/2397916-post28.html

probably allowed dirt/grit to get inside the old solenoid ..
'n gumming it up to the point it wouldn't operate ..

a bmw mechanic might not have spotted that ..
as the same engine in bmw's did not use the variable-vane-turbo ..

as has been said by others .. that little filter seems to get ignored by a fair few service garages ..
