try changing the turbo vent filter
http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/what-pipe-filter-191367.html

if it's clogged up .. the turbo will not operate correctly

read thru this as well .. ( related )
http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/td4-lack-power-70mph-fixed-77147.html

also change the pcv ( crankcase breather ) filter ..
if it's not been done ..
or fit the bmw replacement modification
http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/bmw-crankcase-breather-170050.html

btw: the egr gasket can be obtained at a LR dealer ..
although if the old one is not damaged .. should be ok to re-use it ..

do you have a link to modified Vortex/Cyclone part

If you have a BMW dealer near by , it will save the postage, part no is correct , have you changed your fuel filter ? also check your turbo/intercooler hoses for splits

its more expensive here from bmw dealers, almost a third more even with postage,

i only have freelander td4 2 months
showed it was serviced 9,000 km before i bought it

im getting a k&n air filter
and also a egr balnk, should be here friday
i order the turbo vent filter and crankcase filter
i change the fuel filter and give it oil change and see if its better
only thing i have to check is maf sensor , i do that after everything is changed

I have the PCV fitted, EGR removed and synergy 1 fitted. Even with this I have the same problem of a drop in power after a couple of hours motorway driving, but usually at 75mph (2500+revs). If I drop to 60 (or less than 2000revs) for a few minutes the power returns. I have a feeling its the MAF playing up when higher demand is being measured.

That said, the yellow Management light will also come on too which makes me believe its a sensor.

That could also be the Low Pressure fuel pump beginning to fail. That too brings up the amber EML

i just had a look and not happy, theres not much left of turbo vent filter, i orderd one, should be here tuesday

theres not much left of turbo vent filter

if it's been like that a while .. the vacuum solenoid / turbo vane actuator ..
could be ( or .. probably is ) full of grit 'n grime .. resulting in it getting stuck / worn ..
'n not allowing the turbo vanes to operate properly

ok update

just noticed this in last few days
when on motorway around 75 mph, seems where i get a lack of power to pickup speed or dropping when trying to get more speed , sometimes when this happens .. i get the amber engine malfunction light comes on for few seconds and then goes out, soon after i get back power,, wondering is the the maf sensor ??

I've got the exact same problem,I've blanked the egr, changed the turbo filter but it still persists.at the weekend I'm going to change the pcv and hoses to see if this cures it and also clean the map sensor.ive also got no warning lights on either.have you unplugged the maf sensor?

 I have the same symptoms.

Serviced it, changing oil + filter, turbo vent filter, crankcase breather filter, and air filter.

Had a new fuel pump recently.

Still does it, only on motorways

Aye it's motorways with mine as well once it hits 60.on the way to work its fine 1st thing in morning but on way back up steep road it's fine then past slip road to join m way then hits 60 power drops then sticks around 50ish for about 20secs then picks back up so I'm hoping to sort it at weekend I've got a feeling it won't though.

My TD4 was doing the same loss of power after a while at highish speed. I had no lights on the dash but when reading the engine codes had low fuel pressure. I changed the rear fuel pump and filter and it seems to have cleared. Although it is only two days since I changed them. The engine is running a lot smoother and seems to have more power.

Hope this helps

haven't tried unplugging maf sensor yet, i try it next couple of days and see ,, i see kungfu2010 changed solenoid STC4198, and worked ,,
