I have been with sureterm since I bought my lovely (PITA) landy and have been paying a rather decent £350 a year, this year they came back to me with a renewal of £1360 which they were quite surprised when I told them I would look elsewhere. I have just rang adrian flux and they quoted me £722 which with interest for paying monthly goes up to over £800. This is silly in itself. this level of interest is farcical.

Sureterm told me that the insurance company that they mediated for have stopped dealing in my area. This probably should have been passed on to me when they stopped dealing with this company in january of this year.

these quotes are just getting ridiculous.

Keep shopping around, they are trying it on in my opinion.

I'm finding more and more, that the "specialist" insurers are taking the **** with their renewal quotes.

Have you thought about a multi vehicle policy

i have my 200tdi 90 a vauxhall corsa van sportive on a 59 plate and my CBR600RR 08 reg on one and pay 1200 a year for all 3 of them with business use on them all also

aint got multicar ... only have me landy.
the main excuse, and dont laugh, well you can if you want to.... is most insurance groups wont insure liverpool

jeebus thats good especially with the cbr6

they work on the theory that you can only use one of them at once ;) thats how they make it so cheap in total they are covering £17000 worth of vehicles but at anyone time the most from one accident will be just one of the motors it was a no brainer for me as my van renewal came through at 1200 alone

i used to use Aviva for my landy that was 400 a year

Admiral multi car worked out well for my non business vehicles, Defender 200tdi, Disco 11 3.9V8 and a small fiat sporting arbarth for under 1k for all 3 fc for me and the mrs

The interest is high because its a credit agreement, not a direct debit facility. It's basically a loan.

And surely it's better that they honoured the term of the contract rather than tell you mid term that they don't deal with them any more.

Lots of insurers go on business drives and offer out cheap business to fill the books, then up renewals to start making profit. Some do it slowly, others (certainly in your case!) don't. Always pays to shop around for someone else on a new business drive!

have you tried, compare the market, just noticed where you live, even batman cannot go out there without robin. lol

Ive just got fully comp on 1995 300tdi 90 for £160 with a classic policy through footman james. I do live in a low insurance risk area (Cornwall) but also seeing as im 26 i thought that was a brilliant amount. The classic policies dont use your no claims bonus either so you can use them for a different vehicle.

Hi
My insurance company tried that with me so I moaned and they had accidentally put my occupation under emergency services (muppets). But whilst on the phone to them the bloke on the other side told me that insurance doesn't pro dominantly go on what you drive and you personal details, but renewel prices are based on the amount of claims that have been claimed for in the area in which you live. The bit they don't you. It ridiculous
