After digging around for a while I found a decent looking TD5 - it's a 51 plate TD5 XS with 64K miles.
When I test drove it all apeared well until you accelerated firmly; at just below 3000 RPM the Disco stuttered until eventually revving through a big flat spot.
The guy selling it tells me he has now had the air flow meter (MAF ?) and injection harness replaced. I've driven it again and whilst it picks up more cleanly at the lower rev range, the stutter is still there at just below 3000 revs.
It's a really tidy car and I hope he can get it fixed but I' wary of taking on a new car with a fault like this. Does anyone have any other ideas on the cause of the problem please?
