Some more photos from when I was out in the snow.
This one was fun, I had to clear the way of a snow drift that was about 3ft deep. Was blown over a country road and no one could get through. Didn't stop me getting stuck though! luckily got towed out as was with my mates.
This was also fun, see the pattern here? haha. This is about a half mile long byway but it's perfectly straight, but has some dips etc so in the snow it made for a smooth wavey ride. Could get some speed up as well, just enough to feel like you're surfing waves! Few bits were about 2ft deep so did get a lot of snow stuck in the steering guard.
Finally got my speaker spacers in the post. Was literally JUST enough. Was still a squeeze. Not sure if I like the covers for these over the spacers, they are slightly too large and the standard ones are a perfect fit. Plus the big gaps II'm worried about mud getting in and ruining the speaker. Will probably change it over. Will also spray the MDF spacer as well, probably with some stonechip, only as it gives a nice plasticy look that will blend with the speaker cover.
Okay and finally, here is the damaged that was caused by the brake caliper bolt sheering off.
Going to order a new/secondhand caliper soon. Until then, I have bought some new caliper bolts which I will fit in the next few days, until the new caliper arrives and then I'll change it over. Thing is, it will probably be okay. It's only cosmetic, but every part of me inside my brain is saying - it's breaks so regardless you should change it..
Also ordered a TF811 Terrafirma Steering Damper as I noticed that one of my bushes has decided to fall off mine? If that's possible... the damper is only a crap Britpart one anyway that was on the car when I bought it. This should be a nice little upgrade that should just help general drive ability. Only 36 quid. With that I will also change the drag link bar over finally, had the HD one for ages.
Need to also fit the exhaust but the bolts where it goes onto the turbo are ridiculously tight, I need to man up some more to get em off. Look like they have been there a while. Has the original land rover cat on as well so.. who knows.
Also tidied up my electrics under the dash. Where I was adding stuff it started getting a bit tangled up so I just neatened it up a bit. Going to label the cables in time as well. Also, a small but annoying job I finally got round to doing was heat shrinking the ends of the wires from my battery to the fuse box, just neatens it up, and I also put a rubber bung through the bulkhead where the negative to battery wire goes as there wasn't one before and I was worried about cable chaffing, luckily none had occurred.
