Sorry not been so active on here lately, got a new years insurance a few months ago, £360 with greenlight, all mods declared limited to 2k miles a year. Not bad!

I also got a new car a month ago as well, new daily from the A4 Avant. Now have a 57 plate Audi S3. Absolutely rapid.

Smashed a mirror on the landy a few weeks ago, still haven't changed it as have been so busy. Just the usual caught the wrong end of a tree!

Need to get drivers side front tyre reseated as that got a slow puncture, may have mentioned that before but im lazy and just pump it up every time i go out

Finally got the wheel off, it's off to be re-seated on the rim.

Fits nicely in the back of Dad's D2 lol. Tried to persuade him to get big wheels but the answer was "no." haha

Took the opportunity to clean up the caliper that suffered some damage, seems to be ok! Looks better now.

Also may as well take the oppertunity to show off the new motor lol, taken a few weeks ago in Trebarwith Cornwall whilst on holiday. Didn't skip a beat. Wish I took the landy though, the lanes around here must be insane!

Not quite the same as a landy I know, but I needed a decent daily and something with a bit of a kick

While the wheel's off, I'd take the trouble to clean up the hub face where the wheel sits, and get it flat at least, especially as they're steel wheels and seat right back onto the hub. Then check/do the rest. ;)

Pet peeve time ... I reckon a lot of steering wheel wobble and general 'wheel imbalance' moans and groans from people I've known was down to basic and simple wheel mount and hub area sloppiness, especially at the front. I'd clean the stud threads up too and make sure the wheel nuts are clean threaded, rusty on the outside don't matter too much, but rusty threads is a no-no for me. Clean 'em with brake cleaner, maybe chase them with a die, another quick spray clean, wire brush etc then a light oiling (3 in 1 is good enough) and wipe the excess oil off with a cloth/paper towel.

Job's a good 'un for ages after .. )

You say the tyre's to be re-seated, ask them if the wheel inside needs dressing, cleaning with a wire wheel/grinder. Makes a huge difference.

Yeah I cleaned the face up once I fitted the wheel, did notice it was a bit mucky! That's mostly what it was to be honest. Bit of mud. Came of very easily but I cleaned the face up then refitted the wheel.

Tyre place that I went to clean the inside anyway whenever I take them to them. They know me well now when i mentioned land rover wheel they was like oh another one! lol. It was reseated because of a slow flat, I sprayed water over the tyre when pumped up and I could see bubbles coming out of the seam against the rim, slowly but enough. So knew i had to get it reseated.

Unsure on the coil pack, but looking through history it had one done nearly after it was new under warranty. It only done 59k when i got it last month, on nearly 62k now haha. Oil pickup pipe is an item that is listed as a potential fault area on various forums. Among a few other things. I've done all the easily accessible ones as of now. Oil pickup pipe is a fair job to do, likely when next service due if funds allow I'll get them to do it at the same time. Makes sense!

Not to bad apparenly sump off and reseal afterwards but apprently you needs wobble socket toi get to last bolt as end of gear box covers it so you can get right on it, engine flush before every oil change can help keep it clean but no guarentted as will depned on how many miles it does as there known to sludge up if not doing much
